Mini of Peabody generally has a few, depending on the time of the month... just never quite what I personally wanted. I'm not sure about the Boston dealership.. And I think that Prestige Mini in Jersey also has a couple in stock. If you head into Mini of Peabody, talk to Mark Foresta and tell him that Rachel Daniels sent you. He's a nice guy.

Yup 2 months seems to be the typical wait time give or take. My dealer has quite a few in stock as well, so I don't think you'll have trouble finding on off the lot as long as you aren't picky about the options you want.

Yep, i was told it will be a 6-8 weeks wait. It's quite a torture.

Anxiety all around! Our misery loves company!

What's it with NO ONE interested in buying my R53? It's cute! I love it! Surely someone else wants to love it, too?

Ask Mini computer voice says Tarragon is 'in the paint shop', estimated completion TODAY. I assume the paint shop reference is old, and assembly takes place today!

The computer voice only says to me that it's in production and expected to be completed on the 19th. Which is okay? Is my car still nekkid metal? Feeling the draft? I suppose that answers the question about how many countrymen can be assembled every day... if we're less than 10 cars apart on the line and I'm two days behind you...

MA confirms assembly started on 1/17; I'm going to assume its birthday is 1/18 (right now it is 12:48 AM 1/18 in Graz)!

I called 1-866-ask-mini last night and learned that mine is in the body stage of production. No dates yet. Mine is an automatic last 4 of VIN is 8885. Did i make your production line you think? I checked the website this mornign and it says that its estimated production date completion is 1/20/2012!!! So i figured I'd call and see if it has a shipping vessel assignment... they said my MA may know more but they are seeing it in the body stage still and production can be 1.5-2 weeks...

We have been able to tell where we are on the production line compared to each other. Since you do have a VIN and ordered a few days before me and after some of the other on here you might have a VIN between ours and then you'd know you are on our production line!

Wouldn't a birthday be on the day the car is complete? I suppose it depends on when you believe "life" begins

EDIT: OH I guess assembly is one day right? So 1/18 would be correct in my view!

I think the phone cradle can fit forward without interfering with the E brake.
i only got the sun glass holder and have the bench seat. the existing cup holders in front of the shifter are silly as many have already noted. they work fine for average soda cans and small cups but that's it. they should have a cup accessory that securely grasps onto the hand brake, since many i assume dont use the handbrake daily, if at all. i may have to get that hat with the cup holders and the long straws that reach the mouth

Took my existing MINI in for some service and they gave me a Countryman S loaner.

I'm pretending. It's not an ALL4, but... it's a lot closer than mine.

I'm going out to pet it some more...

Ha! I drive by my dealer almost every day, my neck hurts from turning to look at the Countrymen on the lot as I drive by. I'm tempted to just bring friends to the dealer and ask them to test drive so I can ride in it some more.

Thanks Rachel. I'll give him a call! I got my '03MC from Prestige in Jersey and the '04MCS out on Long Island. I'm hoping to be able to get the '12CM locally!

Just curious about actual production timetables. I've had four MINI coupes now, 3 of them ordered, and I got all three of them just 4-5 weeks after ordering. Keeping in mind that the dealer must have an allocation available for each order, and that timing on that may vary from dealer to dealer, does the Graz factory also move that fast on Countryman's? Are transit times significantly longer or shorter?

I've ordered my other MINI's and it was right at 6 weeks each time. We've got a couple of Countryman on order and we're going on 9 weeks and that seems about average (8-9 weeks). They landed in Brunswick Saturday so now I'm just waiting to hear that they're at the dealer.

YES! Mine too has been waiting for transport and there is no information being communicated. My MA told me it was weather related which is a bit laughable. it's sad there are so few alternatives. I am interested to learn what others waiting are experiencing.

Can I ask a really "Noob" question?!

What is: MA and SA stand for? (My first Mini if you couldn't tell)
I ordered my CMS4 through an auto broker, so I'm not in the loop!

Hi Everyone, I am new to mini and I am extremely excited! The wait is agonizing! My mini is currently on the carrier heading to the port of exit. I hope that it makes it there in time for the next vessel and join the rest of your babies that are already at the port! Does anyone have any idea when the next vessel will arrive and how long it will be on the vessel (I am in California)? Thanks for sharing all of your experiences and research on this thread!

MA = Motoring Advisor (The helpful person at a MINI dealer, who enables your extreme desire to purchase a MINI.)

SA = Service Advisor

How can we find out the shipping schedules? If my car finishes production today, how long can it take to get to the shipyard? Hm...
