Yeah...sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There's a bit of a hike via rail from the factory to Bremerhaven. Then you wait for a ship there. Then the sail across the pond.
Add a few days at the VDC at the end.

It's kind of cool to track it though. It helps with the wait.

Just got off the phone with Ask-Mini; they stated production has begun already? Car should be completed assembly and head to painting within one week. I'll be amazaed if that story doesn't change on Monday.

First post! My Countryman just changed to say it is scheduled for production in the Owners Lounge. My MA told me last week it was scheduled for production the 2nd week of August. We shall see! Can't wait! This is the first new car I have ever bought. And certainly the first car I have ever really been excited about. It will be more than getting from point A to point B.

I also just got off the MINI hotline and spoke with a live service rep to try see if I could squeeze more details vs. the automated system. The guy I spoke with confirmed that my MINI is actually "in production" now, but didn't really provide any more information. I asked if it meant it would be completed sooner than the estimated 8/17 date, but he didn't know. But at least I know it's being built!

The OL has been down for me all day due to maintenance. wokNroll is giving me hope that it's not just an east coast thing.

An Idea

Ordered our CM non S on Wednesday. and don't have any regrets, but if I need extra power.

I had a thought as dangerous as it might seem. Could justify the CM S. over our budget. What about cold air induction?? Got a price on it K&N $285 and it doesn't void the warranty. Was told about a 10% increase in power and a moderate increase in MPG maybe 2. I had used the K & N air filter on a previous car and noticed a difference

Must've been a bug with my Chrome browser. OL works fine with Explorer. My status in the OL is still "On Order" but called Ask MINI and it turns out it's in production too!

Estimated completion date is 8/19/11 for mine. Still no VIN though.

Cheerio... Just checked my status in the OL and it's showing "Scheduled for Production". Maybe I'll give ASK MINI a call on Monday to see if I can get an actual date.

(Btw... I've had no problems browsing the OL with Chrome.)

Called today, and their automated system now says my MINI is now "in the paint shop." Also, my estimated completion date moved up one day to 8/16! Wasn't expecting their automated system to be updated with a detail like that. Nice!

I called the automated system and I'm also in the paint shop with a 8/16 completion date.

It depends on where you live. It's about a month if you live in a western state, because they have to go through the Panama Canal. Eastern states is considerably less. More info in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html

I placed an order for a 2012 Crystal Silver CM with auto trans on 7/20/11. Last update form the MA was it was scheduled for production on 7/27/11. I do have a VIN number but no other info is available.

Congrats. WE're in the same neck of the woods! Owners lounge gives you some limited info, your MA should be able to log into their tool to get you more detailed information. My production also started on the 27th, so our rides are likely going to be travel buddies to CO.

Bug your MA for details and make them work for their fee!

I look at it this way, I know I really can't wait for my MINI to arrive but it'll be here when it gets here and not a day sooner. Mine still says scheduled for production. I have a VIN and production number but nothing else. I pestered my MA for almost 4 months until we finally ordered on July 20th

My status code is still 150 "production started" according to my MA. OL still says scheduled for production and I've got a VIN.

mrluckypa has a better attitude than I do because I seriously cannot wait until my countryman gets here! Is it bad that I call ASK MINI and check the OL every single day? Sometime multiple times a day? And then there's NAM which only feeds this obsession. I've got it bad...

What's funny is that I've never considered myself a car guy. But now all I think about are air intakes, turbos, hp/torque, rpms, tires, WRC, suspensions, etc. It's crazy that I'm now watching at least an episode or two of Top Gear everyday on my netflix streaming which has seasons 2-15 (although I'm not sure they have all the episodes for each season). I can't get enough. This is the first time I understand why people love their cars and it's all due to the MINI Countryman for me.

CM51 I am probably as bad. My wife and I are constantly looking for MINI clubs around where we live. There are none in south Jersey nor North of Philly. I keep reading NAM and telling her what some of the people want and do.. It amazes me. Especially last night I found a vegan who ordered the seats with leather and cloth not knowing that the seats were available at no additional cost Now she wants to trade her seats with someone that ordered it in all cloth. there are others that are obsessed more than we are. I just hope I don't get as bad.
