Whee is right! You must have a lot of track time to be an instructor. How fun! Are you doing this with the BMW CCA?
I am now forbidden from taking the R53 to the track since it officially became my partner's car... I have done some Audi events at Infineon. It's not cheap but they supply the car as well as the insurance so I don't get lectured about it. He's just not a car guy and does not get it. Oh well, at least I get to buy the cars I want and I've taught him to drive a stick shift and got him into some fun cars over the years.

What's next? The Toronto on the 2nd, and the Don Juan on the 8th? And holy crap it's leap-year this year?! (because it would be funny to be on a ship named Bess, except that it's shipping on the 29th).

Yeah lets all hope for the Toronto!!! I have one called Courage that comes to GA leaving on the 4th, but as I found out with the Integrity, they don't all carry Mini's I guess... That's just plain dumb! How can a boat not carry Mini's?!

Y
Yeah that 12 day break killed me as my car was on the last day of production before X-mas but didn't get finished until Jan 9th. I would be driving it now if they only took a week off.

Placed my order late on 1/19.
OL says I'm waiting for production. MA quoted about 7 weeks after order.
I'm near DC so not far from Baltimore (BALPOA) which means less time on a boat.
All in all I'm pretty happy with the purchase process. We got the price down almost 2k under MSRP for a custom order and the 2.9% financing locked in as well.
Only compromise with the wife was the color. I liked the Cosmic Blue, she liked the S(m)urf Blue and we settled on True Blue. Also decided against leather lounge seats to save another 2 grand. Most people's complaints about the standard leatherette seats seem to stem from being too big to fit them and we're pretty athletically shaped.
Otherwise I loaded up on nifty options (nav, sport suspension, adaptive xenon, auto ac, comfort access, the glass roof for the wife...) and the ultimate price wasn't awful.
I also managed to head over to the DC Auto Show over last weekend and looked at the competition (and of course the Countryman) to see if I was going to have buyer's remorse. If anything, I left the show feeling even better about the decision.
My search for a new car started a year ago almost and had a few basic criteria:
gas mileage on par with our 1998 civic
fits rear-facing infant seats and all the infant accoutrements
four doors!
fun / not a camry clone
Really the only thing we gave up a little on was gas mileage but the Countryman S All4 is significantly quicker than the civic and also turns the rear wheels too. I still feel it's a bit expensive for what it is, but considering we buy new cars about once every 12 years, I'm willing to let that go.

I think our Tarragon is still on the dock. Not showing in WW's search site yet. Hope it makes it out in the next day or two on one of the three ships shown in this web cam of Bremerhaven auto shipping area:

UPDATE: In transit! finally a change in the status...Did you get a status update today?
#1048
YES!! In Transit! I think she is on the Georgia Highway, presently headed from Bremerhaven to Southhampton, then on to Pt Hueneme, CA. Have to check with MA to see if he knows the vessel name.
#1050
We are on the same ship! I checked in with my MA and he said ETA arrival at the port is Feb 22 and then another 3-5 days before it would be at the dealer ready for pick up...Was hoping to take it for a joy ride (bonding time) to Los Angeles during President's day weekend...guess the trip will have to wait...
