Now I need to figure out if I can move a big work presentation up or back a day! I'm going to be in NY that weekend but I don't want to park it there! I want it in a protective new car bubble!
That was the original post. I don't know how it got mixed up. Rupert is officially on a K-Line boat sailing the ocean blue! It even says so in the OL!! The page on my MiniPerson's screen shows the ship landing in Brunswick on the 15th! Yay! I may still get him at 8 weeks!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Barnacle!! That is Awesome!!!

Got a production number exactly a week after we ordered. OL doesn't have a production date but our MA said it is tentatively scheduled for March 10th :(

Does anyone know if it's better to order a car earlier in the month/middle or end? I read in another thread about dealers having a certain allotment per month, so I thought maybe when you order might add to the swiftness of production?

Hey.. anyone interested in the all-season runflats that come stock on the car? I won't be needing them and there're a number of us in the New England area...

Awaiting transport status!
I guess that's 3-4 more weeks of waiting?
Already ran out of warranty miles on my JCW.

It depends on the dealership you deal with. At the first dealership I tried, they were going to get me in "that weekend" but they were a smaller dealership. This was towards the end of the month and so it would be the beginning of the month. I ordered from a bigger dealership at the end of November and my car didn't go into production until January. Essentially, I think it is just important for you to have a really good communication going with your MA. Maybe sweet talk an SA since they are the ones who actually put the orders in? I'm not sure. But this is just my experience of what I went through if it helps.

Thank you for the info. My salesperson emailed me our production number two days after purchase - but I'm not sure how much longer it will be after that until it actually starts to be made.

I've been keeping myself occupied with making a few fun mini-inspired mini-purchases!

Mini Keyring - I saw on this site in a different post. And this bling-ed out Rolling Stones inspired shirt!

Anyone else doing this?

I'm actually trying to hold out atleast until after my CMS is on its way to me. I think my first purchase will be a badge from GoBades and then a stubby antenna. And at some point a cover for the boot for when we take the dogs out.

I have been looking at lots of stuff too! But I haven't pulled the trigger yet! I think I need to wait until he gets here to really see what we need!!!

MiniMouse I have to get a cover for my boot too. So far all I've seen won't be durable enough! I really want to get started on attempting to make one! I guess I just have to wait just like everything else!!! Ahhh

I know there's a guy here in the forums that makes them and I'm contemplating buying from him, but I guess I'm just waiting to see what we can find locally.
Let me know if you end up making your own.

Will do! I saw his but it's not all covering either so it won't work for me. I want one that looks like the Mini factory one (covering the sides and the back of the seats with no gaps), but that can withstand 3 Beasts. I had a cargo cover thing called a hatchbag for my Murano. I think I might try to make it out of that.

Boy when Rupert comes I'm going to have a lot to do! Haha!

The MINI ones are really cool, but for the price they're asking!! Redonkulous!
I may try to see if the dealer in Dallas has any when we pick up MiniMe. See if we can get a discount on one or something. I don't know. It may just be high hopes though.
Our MA is an Aggie and my husband went to A&M so we're thinking about bringing the guy some A&M memorabilia.

Those badges are really cute! I think I'll have to get one for my new mini's grill. I just checked and my mini is finally showing up at mini usa as "on order". I wonder how long it will take to move from there to "scheduled for production". This is going to be the longest 8 weeks of my life!

http://www.gobadges.com/product-p/3c..._chocolate.htm

This is probably the badge I'll get to begin with. And possibly
http://www.gobadges.com/CARBON-FIBER...ro-antenna.htm and
http://www.gobadges.com/MINI-KEY-FOB...y_fob_blue.htm

Then I'll stop there for a bit. Until I can find a good boot cover.
