Haha! Yeah, we probably won't see him for a week. That's probably what I'll do.

 

The status on our Countryman just changed to at the VDC, with an estimated delivery date of next Wednesday! Alright!

 

Beaux - Where's the pics??? I know you're busy burning you up some fuel but you're leaving us hanging.....

 

Sorry for the delayed posts. We picked up our Mini at 9pm friday night and then promptly took it on a short road trip early Saturday morning to see family for the weekend. We came back yesterday - but our wonderful dog hurt herself (fetching too hard) and it's been a 24 hour vet experience making sure she's okay. So it's been non stop since we picked it up. I promise pics tomorrow.

However I can tell you this is the most fun I've ever had driving a car. I love cars and driving and the Mini kicks the butt of my old V8 Jeep and my 48 year old vintage car. It has SO MUCH zip and pep - it's a joy to drive in city traffic: I can switch lanes quickly when I need to (with my 4 on the tree diesel not so much) and the car is so nimble and handles so well it just makes driving fun. The run flats do have more road feel then I'm used to - but not horrible. I love the heated seats and the driving lights for when I drive through the pitch black park at night. Basically I'm looking for excuses to run errands and drive anywhere. It was an almost 10 week wait for us - and it was worth every second. For where we live (in the city) and what our needs are I can't imagine a better car.

Thank you. Turns out she has Lyme disease! But she's now on meds now so hopefully getting better every day.

I'm actually going on joy rides - i.e. rides with no point what so ever! Which I haven't done since teen years!!

 

Our CMS is on the same ship. It looks like it's going through the Panama Canal as I post this!

My status in the owners lounge changed today from "waiting for transport" to "en route". How does everyone seem to know the name of their ship and is able to track it? Can that be found online or only through the dealer? Ironically, we're heading to Europe as our CMS is heading here. Being on vacation will make the wait less bothersome, should be waiting for us when we return home.

 

Oh very cool!! I was waiting for a flight yesterday and watched it sail through the locks of the canal. So cool. Since we're both in CO, I bet they'll get on the same truck to Colorado too. Neat!

 

ranette, where is your MINI going? East coast or west coast. If it is on a WW ship you can oput you last 7 of your vin into the cargo ID field at this Link https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage. If not, call your MA and they will have the details. Congrats on getting on a boat, I am still waiting for to get on one!!

Congrats everyone, whose car is on the way!

 

We ordered ours late Friday, and our MA emailed the Production Number this morning.

 

There are two variations of the Technology Package, with and without Navigation. The status of our car is "on order", and the options list shows the Technology Package, but no mention of Navigation. Question for other people who are waiting for cars with Navigation...does the website show that you car has Navigation, or does it just list Technology Package? It would be a bummer if the car showed up without Nav! Thanks.

 

My order review shows "Mini connected with Navigation"

 

Mine is actually listed both ways, towards the top of the list it says "Mini Connected with Navigation" Also, towards the bottom it just says, "Technology Package" with no mention of navigation on that line. Maybe you missed it and it's there?

 

Did you order the entire Technology Package? If not, I guess what I'm looking for is someone else who ordered the Technology Package with Nav, not just Connected with Nav...sorry.

My car is at the dealership! They are applying boot stripes, etc. I will pick up on 4/24. Bad thing is that I can't even do a drive-by stalker mission because I sold my 2004 Cooper S yesterday. So, no car for a week. My MA said he would send a photo .....waiting excitedly.
