Thanks. Yep, we live on a little peninsula between two lakes and about 3 miles from Lake Michigan. The sun was going down behind our house and shining through the trees in the neighbors yard.

Official Introduction...

Finally, the dealer got my order right and I got my side scuttle holders. I'm proud to say I did the install myself all without breaking a nail When I bought the car it only had stripes on the front.

Since I bought it 6/27 I've added:
Black jack mirror caps and rearview mirror cover
Black jack valve stem caps
Black stripes down the sides
White side markers
Anthracite scuttle holders w/pink scuttles

I've been calling him Nigel but when I decided on the pink scuttles I started to rethink it but my mom says real men wear pink So Nigel it is!

Picked up my CM today and holy mackerel is this a fun car! MA said to keep it under 4500 RPMs until I hit 500 miles, so taking it easy despite the car telling me "C'mon, do it!" Even still, I'm having a ball working the low RPMs--love the loud growl you get sticking your foot in it above 3000 RPMs. I just wish I could take it further than 4000. Patience...

Love the cornering too. It handles the twisties effortlessly.

I have the standard Bluetooth option (this was a MUST have). While I wish I could stream music through the BT like everyone else, I do like the Voice Activated dialing. Tried to set up Sirius/XM but it wouldn't take. Need to research a bit more.

I stuck with the Leatherette on the interior. Honestly, I'm a "less is more" type of person and while I might like lots of the options offered, I'm not willing to pay for them (plus it's more that can go bad in the future). Thus I kept the options to a minimum as it already met most of my basic requirements without them.

I'm a bit different from most on this forum, I guess. I prefer the Amber lenses (turn signals should look like turn signals) and I think the chrome exterior elements that so many want to plastidip over gives the car a certain elegance. And the silver wheels on the LW/Black just look classic to me.

I just wanted a basic, no frills "drivers" car that pays homage to the golden age of British Sports cars (old Mini's, Triumph roadsters, big Austin Healy's, MG's). I even love the A/C vents as they are identical in function to those which were in my Triumph TR6.

I will say that I am tempted to put on some black stripes and perhaps the red/blue Union Jack side scuttles (a-la TR6). And maybe a tint on the rear windows for when my kids are in the back seat. In time...

That's great! I like hearing everyone's inspiration for why they ordered or chose their vehicle the way they did. I'm similar in that I went for as few options as possible, focusing on those that would focus on the driving. No Connected or Nav to distract me. HK because I love music. Adaptive xenons for the winter when the sun seems to rise at 9am and set at 3pm. The only lux touch is heated seats for the wife. The only "decoration" I'm considering is matte white stripes if I can find one that matches the body color perfectly.

Enjoy the new ride!

Alb, that CM is perfection in my opinion, looks a lot like the one I have on the way. Please tell us who makes those wheels, they are exactly what I'm looking for. Any interior shots? First impressions?

Hi All.
I'm new to this thread and would like to know how to become a member of the Light White Owners Club and how to obtain the cool logo I see on people's signature.
Thanks

Sperry50, here is where a lot of the badges are located.

Just copy what you need to put in signature. They will have to jump you into the club though! Ha. Nothing to do to join other than owning one.

They are 17" TSW Nurbergring w/ 225/50R17 Continental Extreme Contact DWS Tires. I really like the setup - but I must admit it looks a little more aggressive than I had intended.

I really do like the white with the roof color the same. Understated elegance!

Just picked up our light white CM S from the dealership this afternoon. Black roof, mirror caps and wheels.

Haven't had a chance to drive it yet as it will be my wife's daily driver. Will put up some pics tomorrow.

Excited!

Another Light White here in the UK (Cooper SD All4) .. Our original order was damaged in transit so it's been a long wait for a replacement car! Pleased as punch with it though.. We've christened her "Po" as in Kung Fu Panda, and not the Teletubby

Looks like I'll be joining the LW Owner's Club in 6-8 weeks! I received my order number from my SA yesterday on a 2012 LW/LW Countryman S. I haven't seen any here exactly like what I ordered but several here give me an idea. I'm looking forward to getting...uhh...the Abominable SnowMINI!
