Thanks, I will let you know! Honestly, they are not that dirty after 3 days of driving. I had an '03 chili red hardtop with white holey wheels, and they would be black after just one day, and became pitted in spots after a while. I'm not sure if the brake dust is less now, or if the design of these wheels doesn't let the brake dust through, or what, but I was expecting much worse. I actually bought this product - http://www.armorall.com/products/vie...?product_id=33 - before I even took delivery of the car, after reading some people on here recommending it. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet, I want to make sure they are perfectly clean before putting it on.
Yes, and that's really cool. Is that a standard option now or something you had to do?
EDIT: I just checked the configurator and saw that silver rails are part of the chrome exterior option. Very nice.
It's nothing I specified. And I didn't go for the chrome exterior, only the chrome interior. Maybe they use silver on white roof cars and black on black or body color roofs? Or maybe it's a mistake? I have no idea, but I like it.
Picked up my True Blue Countryman 2 days ago. I love the color, it turns a lot of heads. One thing I have noticed is the the color looks much better in person than it does in any of the pictures I have seen.

It must have changed with the new model year. Mine's a March '11 build. White roof came with black rails at the time. Mine looks good, but I also really like your silver rails.

Base Model comes with silver, "S" Models come with black.

If you pick the chrome exterior option on an S-ALL4 in the configurator, the rails turn silver. The rails are silver by default on the conventionally aspirated model.
Quick question, when you ordered did you order those stripes without the pitchfork? Do the factory ones come with the pitchfork or like yours? I ordered white, I just assumed they came with the pitchfork design. Either way is good. They look nice.
Im not sure who you are asking, but I'll respond in reference to my car. I wanted sport stripes, but didnt want the pitchfork design. I ordered the car without stripes and the dealer installed them the way I wanted. I think my dealer works with a 3rd part installer that is really good at it. Another dealer I talked to would only do the pitchfork design and said it was impossible to stripe it any other way becasue of the bump in the hood. It can be done and it looks great. You just have to get somebody that knows what they are doing.
The dealer that "installed" the stripes called them the JCW sport stripes. Im not sure if that is the true name or the dealer just calls them that. The smaller stripes on the edges are a bit more narrow than the ones that come with the normal sport stripes.
