YAY!!! Just placed the order for my '12 CMSa

Woohooo!!! I will soon have a Mini again!!!! Just placed my order for a 2012 Countryman S, Light White, Black roof, auto, black bonnet stripes, rear bench seat..... My MA built it on the system while I was on the phone with her and I now have a production no. I wonder how long before I can check it on the owner's lounge? I remember on my R53 MCS, it took a few days for it to show up. Anyway, I'm hoping to take delivery before the end of the year... What do you guys think? Anyway, just happy to be expecting a Mini once again... this will be my 4th..... Cruise on...

Congrats on your order and getting your prod number on the spot. I ordered my CM4 on Oct 1st and did not make the subsequent round of allocations

I just got an email from my MA who confirms I will be in the next batch which comes up any day now.

Did they tell you if you qualified for the MotoTober rebate? My MA confirmed I was elligible but since I don't have a prod number yet it's going to be a race against the clock to get it built & shipped to the West coast before that rebate expires.

didn't get the flat load floor option... thought it was little pricey..... i believe the paddle shifters are standard on the automatic... at least on the CMS, they were....

thanks. I hope it shows on the Owner's Lounge soon so I can keep checking
I am going to the motor tober event for my stealership on the 22nd so I can get the additional $750 off my discounted price... that's the one thing that pushed me over the edge and order it already....

It took a week or so for mine to show up on the OL. I ordered my CM on the 25th of August and it is due at Port Hueneme on the 19th...just 5 more days! Yes the paddle shifters are standard on the automatic. What is this stealership thing? I have a deal worked with my MA but if there is some new discount running, I need to ask about it and try to get it as they only have a deposit right now. I missed out on the bench seat, but I think I prefer the 2 buckets anyway.

With the bench seat, I don't think you'll need the flat-load floor, anyway. My MA actually talked me out of ordering one for mine, because he said the only real point is to cover the gap between the rear seats, and if I were worried about messing up the seats loading something in the back, a blanket was a much cheaper and more flexible solution. From pics of the bench seat I've seen online, I think he's probably right.

That said, I DID order the cargo net, but that's more of a dog-containment solution for me than for anything actually cargo-related.

LOL.... I just call any sort of car dealership a stealership..... as far as the bench seat option, this was the defining factor for us to get back in a mini.... even though we're just a family of four, we have a ton of family and having the option of at least jamming another person in the car is totally worthwhile....

I got this blanket from Harbor Freight, perfect size, good quality, and color matches interior nicely. Google harbor freight coupons for a discount. Pic here showing the blanket tucked under the trunk well lid..

Wow! The blanket looks nice. But, what is nicer are the tire cover things. Never knew something like that was available. I suppose it works for winter and summer tire changes. Living in So. Calif. we'd never have the need. Well done.

@asaulo1: check out this thread for everyone's '12 ordering updates.. here is my timeline. I was able to lookup my build on the OL abt 5 days after getting my prod #. Congrats on your order!

@John_Richard: Thx, I got those off ebay and tirerack has them.. they definitely come in handy moving around wheel/tire sets, now I just have to make more space in the garage for these things!

Thanks for the tip.... I looked it up today and it reflects the right color now. I checked yesterday and it said that I had a Absolute Black Countryman S. I figured that it was a predetermined color for that production order so I would just wait a few days before I ask my MA about it. Didn't take that long and it reflected the right order.

Nice! I might have to pick one of those up. I've had a pickup since 2003, so it's going to be a bit weird not being able to just toss stuff in the bed! But I'm SO looking forward to my Mini, and driving something that's actually fun to drive again!

Speaking of runflats.... does anyone know if the boot well (not sure if that's what it's called) can accept a spare tire donut wheel like in the clubman? I was thinking that soon after I ditch the runflats & stock wheels, I would like to know what my options are if I take the CMS for a really long trip. It would be great if the boot can accept the "donut" under the flat floor, wouldn't it?
