It is important to realize a car's towing limit is restricted to the lowest rating in the system....using a Class II (200-300 lbs tongue/3000 lbs axle) tow hitch on a car that is only rated for Class I (100-200 tongue/2000 axle) does not mean you're good to go with a class II trailer & load!
The MC does not have an official tow rating in the North American market, but I think the European spec is 100 tongue/1100 trailer axle...putting it in the Class I range.
Also note that towing limits have nothing to do with engine power...it's all about the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR)...which on a MC or MCS is about 1900 lbs for the rear axle. All loads on the rear axle should not exceed this (trailer tongue wieght, rear passengers, trunk/roof cargo etc etc).
Having the load on a trailer properely distributed front to back to give the 5-10% of load weight on the trailer tongue is also important for stabilty.
