The wild card feature on WWL's website...all CM's have a VIN that starts with WMWZC5C5.

Not entirely true - I ordered a base CM, and my VIN starts with WMWZB3C5 (6th digit is a 3 while yours is a 5). 5 could mean All-4, or it could mean 'S'. Or maybe 'S' is a 4 and the all-4 is a 5. Without knowing someone who ordered an 'S' it's hard to say.

I stand corrected, thought I had read that somewhere else. My car is an
S, and the 5th digit is a C. Maybe B as a 5th digit signifies a base model, and C signifies an S? Looks like all WMWZB's and WMWZC's come from Graz, not Oxford.

The Medea has departed Bremerhaven so we should see some more VIN's on the WWL website soon...hopefully.

Let's hope! I think it left a while ago at this point. I keep checking every couple hours for my VIN. Still waiting to hear back from my MA, haven't heard back after he said he'd let me know for sure about the TDTD.

Joe, I think you said your VIN is 30317? Did you notice that 30312 and 30313 left on the Tonsberg on Monday? Hopefully that's a good sign for you...

The only one I see close to mine that has a '3' 5 places from the right is 30298. I'm not sure what the rest of the number is you're entering to see 30312 and 30313, but it must not match the rest of mine.

It might be an S or an All 4 model, I am usually finding the same as you Joe as I also have a Base. The MINI call line did inform me that my car was at the port ready for exit today, so just hoping that either of the next two boats might be the one that gets it here to us before too long. Hope yours got on there Shark and Joe.

Thanks n8, hope yours gets on a boat soon. Mine has been at the port since the 8th, and still not sure if it left yesterday or not. I hope so, or it will be yet another week. I did read somewhere that the Southampton port has a law that they must be at the port for 4 days before they can be loaded. Not sure if Bremenhaven has a similar law or not, but if you just arrived today maybe you can use that to try to figure out which boat you'll be on.

Joe, we can now see on the WWL website that our car is on the Medea, and yours is too! Pyrrhusmj, looks like your car is not. It appears all the CM's on the Medea are bound for New York.

Wow, yes! I see it now! Hallelujah! Are you going to the TDTD today? I was going to leave work at 12 and get there about 12:10, but still haven't heard back from my MA about whether they will honor the certificate. I was taking a half day off from work because I have somewhere I need to go. I'm not gonna waste my time and risk being late for my thing if they're not gonna honor the certificate. But part of me thinks that I will have more ammunition if I just go anyway and have the certificate in hand, rather than hearing later "if you had only just come to the event we could have done something". I don't know, I'm torn. Maybe they'll have some free stuff that will make it not a complete waste.

It's interesting that it is now showing that I was booked on the 15th, but that info wasn't available until now. It says I was "received at terminal" at 17-05-2012 00:00:00. Also interesting, if you click on the details of the voyage, it goes northeast to Gothenburg Sweden before backtracking past Bremerhaven again, then Belgium and Southampton.

Mine shows the same. Sounds like "time of day" is meaningless. I'm guessing 00:00 means they didn't enter the time. I assume the vessel is going to to Sweeden to drop off German cars for all of Scandanavia, and pick up Volvos. Looks like the Medea is on one of the standard routes for WWL. At least we both now have a pretty good idea when our cars will arrive.

What do you think your destination port will be? I am thinking mine will be Charleston, SC, but it seems like several might serve for me in OK.

I guess what would determine which boat the most would be which port my MC is supposed to end up at, does anyone know which one it would be for OKC, OK?

The Medea is pulling into Southampton right now, assumedly to pick up other Mini models for the trans Atlantic crossing. I'm surprised that there's only two of us (MCJoe and I) active on this forum who are on this ship (and even more coincidental is that we ordered from the same dealer). Are there any lurkers?

Shark, it could very well be that you and I are the only 2 from this site on the Medea. The market share of the Countryman vs. the other models seems pretty low, and the amount of activity in the Countryman forum is also lower. Maybe you could start a new Medea post in the General MINI forum and see if you get any more hits.

I wish I was, but then again the Texas cars generally come through South Carolina. My car is on a ship, just not sure which one yet. It hasn't been scanned in to the ship yet, but was scanned out of the dock

Probably for the best, thanks to a recent hail storm I won't be able to get my wrecked car into the shop until June 2nd.
