I just spoke with my MA. He is wavering on giving me the $750 for the take down test drive. I called before to ask if they would accept it and he called me back to say yes. Now, he says, "I am not sure".

I told him, I would not pick up the car if the discount is not applied. I am not a fan of the car buying games.

 

I decided to take a ride past the dealer during my lunch break at work, and my car is there! I got out and took some pics, I'm gonna add them to my gallery now. The guy out back said I probably wouldn't be able to pick up until Monday.

I just added the pics to my gallery. They didn't come out great because I took them with my iPad, and it is kind of gray out, but it looks amazing! I couldn't remember what color you said you ordered, but knew you had said it was an All4. The only All4 I saw unloaded from the truck was a light silver one. I snapped some pics thinking it might be yours. I didn't see a black one, but I could have just missed it.

 

Actually the pics look great! According to Mini's 800#, our car is still in Bremerhaven awaiting a ship Why do they even bother if they are not going to keep the data reasonably current?

 

Thanks! I posted a similar comment on another thread about how the owners lounge is basically useless at this point, and MINI should just point people here instead of the owners lounge.

 

Joe, what's the status of your car on the WW website?

On the WW website, my status is 'DELIVERED FROM', at 8:00 today. The owners lounge still shows me 'en route', not even at the VDC yet. Sure, I could take a ride by and see if I see your car there.

Sure, pm me your email address. I saw the wheels on a car in the showroom and loved them. I know white wheels are a pain to keep clean, but with the amount of bird crap my current car gets on it every day, I'm sure I'll be out there with a hose often. I didn't notice the brand of tires, I ordered the all-season tires.

Shark, I'm sorry, but there is no black All4. You must have some additional things being done at the VDC. My MA just emailed me to tell me that the service department says it will be ready for pick-up on Monday night. Figures - Monday is my daughter's 5th birthday and we are having a party, so it will have to wait until Tuesday. Just my luck, pretty much any other day of the year I would've been able to make arrangements to get there. Oh well, what's one more day?

 

Thanks for trying. Hopefully this just means that they could not fit all the cars going to the dealer on one truck, and that there's no damage or other issues with our car. Well, your started off ahead of us and you are going to finish ahead of us

At least you live near your VDC. My car is at the VDC (never did find out which ship it was on, my MA said the system never showed), but it will still be a week before I pick it up... assuming my old car is repaired by then... This accident is frustrating me.

Shark, I did check my tires while I was there looking for your car. They are ContiPro.

 

They are not bad for run flats...had them on our current MCS before we switched to non-run flats.

 

Brian, did your car arrive at the dealer with Joe's?

I'm not sure if my car has arrived. I have an appointment for 6/9 to pick up the car.

It is a white CM all4 with black roof and anthracite rims.

 

Brian, if you look at Joe's gallery, your car may be in the photo taken from the rear of his as all these cars seem to have been taken off the truck just before Joe took the photo.

 

That is most likely it. :-)

It will be a shame if it ends up dealer inventory.

 

So I know this is the Medea thread, but since several of us on here were waiting on other ships, I thought I would just keep it going on here, if you think you may be on the Dover Highway, which I think mine may be on, it is back on MarineTraffic and not too far off the coast, probably still a couple of days until its first port.
