Things I learned today:
DO NOT replace swaybar end links in the front with ones that have zerk fittings (grease fittings) on them.
Those grease fittings like to dig into the axle when you turn........
SUNOFAB!

The good news is I can now jack up the car, undo the wheels, replace and torque both endlinks.. replace wheels, lower the car and torque the lug nuts in my lunch hour.
... so kicking myself here. it's what I get for trying to be proactive....

5'x3' was enough to fail at my mirror caps twice, do my gas door, and my scuttles. Having cut the 3' into 1.5' sections for the scuttles was perfect. The extra meat is great when stretching it. I feel that 1' might be a little too thin. Especially if it's your first time using vinyl.

@geekd4d just looked at my order again, and it was 5'x2'!

http://www.amazon.com/Moyishi-Black-.../dp/B00CPN0BB8

So 1' should be perfect. Sorry if you've already ordered.

Nope not yet!
Excellent. I have worked with wrap in the past, I always end up buying too much and didn't want to buy a big roll just for 2 scuttles.
thank you again

Installed an NM 22mm rear sway bar! Set to the stiffest setting, my car is finally out handling my tires. It's like a completely different car. Absolutely cannot wait for coilovers.

The difference is immense. It weighs about twice as much. If only it was chili red 😂

Congrats. The sway bar makes a huge difference. Adding coilovers improves things even more. If you want tires that match the handling, I can vouch for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Cool! I'll look into those for sure. These were cheap as I needed them in a pinch, so I'll probably sell them used about halfway through their life. As for coilovers, I'm thinking the Megan's look pretty sweet for the price. Best reviews in that price range that I've seen at least.

Plastidipped my mirror caps. I just couldn't stand the black jacks anymore. They're cool, just not my style. Next, I'll do all the lettering and badges. Still debating on whether to do the handles, beltline, and light rings though. I kinda like a little chrome.

The mirror caps look great. Did you use the Plasti-Dip spray?

A question about your side markers: did you replace them with smoked units or put something on them?

Yeah, I used plasti dip spray. They get hit with road debris all the time, so I figured it would just make maintenance easy and cheaper than outright painting them. And the side turn indicators are aftermarket. Got the pair on Amazon for <$20. Same with the clearance lights. I think the order totally was around $32 shipped.

Dipped my lettering and badges (which look fantastic), and beltline (which looks like a steaming dog turd.) Gonna have to redo the beltline at some point when it's not so hot out. Which pisses me off because it took forever. However, it was a good lesson, and I know exactly how to go about masking it in the future. Still don't know if I wanna do the light rings though. I think a little chrome looks nice, and I won't have to do my door handles, which I feel would be a pita. Tell me what you think though, as I obviously can't make the decision for myself lol

Been doing some experimentation recently.

My toddler absolutely wrecked the filter end of the carbon tube, so I decided to see if I could mate it with my Luftwaffle. Seems to work well. Also seems I completely forgot a hose clamp, lol.

Also, perhaps you have the itch to get that cheap(ish) carbon fiber grille but were scared because of the Amazon review that said it melted. I decided I liked the odds and that I could repair any shenanigans that happen. So, here we are.

Lastly, this is in hand but not on the car yet. There was a snag with the tips that has yet to be ironed out...

Picked up this 2016 Countryman S FWD last month, JCW appearance package inside and out, pano-roof, nav, keyless access, HK sound, auto, 28k miles on it. First thing i did was throw the runflats in the trash and got some good all season performance tires, good window film, LED scuttles and side markers, a few paintless dent repair mishaps, paint correction, ceramic coat, then added the RaceChip GTS module with APP, Green Filters Panel filter, New plugs and coils, cabin air filter, oil change, Rockford P300-12 sub with a LC2i to calm down the hot speaker level input and an ATM intercooler. Huge changes overall. Now Borla Axleback inbound!

I have a serious problem leaving things alone. lol.

This pic was right before it was sent off for paint correction and ceramic coating.

Finally got around to dipping my light rings, and got myself a new turbo inlet pipe from m7! I have a post about it on the r60 forum if you'd like to read my short review.

I also see my car twin has joined the forum! Congrats on your purchase!

Enjoyed driving the R60 after 9 weeks of work

Beautiful autumn day in NOVA. And honestly at this point, any day I'm not cleaning carbon off the pistons, lapping valves, contemplating what could have burned an exhaust valve, or trying to figure out how to measure 5.3 inlbs of torque, is a good day driving. Oh, and Winston runs better than the day we brought him home. PTL.

Well, had a short on the License Plate light so for the first time ever tried Coding in Tools32. Wow, was actually super easy to reset the bulb malfunction. Have a new serpentine belt and special tool on the way. Just replaced the Plugs and Coils with the ECS tuning upgrade kit.

how do you like the m7 intake hose? I got the forge one before m7 came out with this one and had to modify it so i could keep the sensors in. I was thinking of switching.
