What does that do to the life of a tire? Does it shorten the life by a significant amount? How about increasing the possibility of a blowout when you hit a big pothole?

Removed the all the red in prep to do a "Ray" version. Already ordered the lime green mirror caps and flat black JCW sport stripes. Though kind of loving it naked like this.

Was pretty painless. It's only about 48* F here today. The side what was in the sun just came off nice and easy. The shady side needed a hair dryer. Took maybe a half an hour to de-stripe it and snap back on the black caps and brake ducts.

After peeling it off there was a little sticky outline but hit it with a little goo gone and you can't even tell there was ever anything there. The car is only about 8 months old so I didn't expect any fade or discoloration.

that looks soo cool! my personal opinion (which is completely irrelevant) would be to leave the black mirror caps and add your flat black stripes. my absolute black could be darth to your stormcooper! lol

I am going to try that too since I will have the stripes before the caps. Which will leave me with 3 sets of caps (black, red and lime green)

My little brother has a black one (the reason I got mine) so he already claimed the Darth lol.

updates

Got mine in to the dealer for it's first service, 8,300 miles. Oil Change, wipers, rotate tires. They replaced my temp sensor as I had an "episode" where it didn't want to start one morning.
Then off to the tint shop all windows got Solamatrix quartz at 25%.
Clear bra on the hood, front bumper, headlights and top of the rear bumper.
And most noticeably, new stripes!!!

Today I changed my fabric mats with nice rubber ones, always better during the shocking UK winter months.

Then added a stubby sporty aerial on the roof, which makes it looks way better.

Then my almost very close mod was changing my mirror caps to carbon... offered a pair of these real carbon genuine Mini caps for about £130. I resisted for now, as wanted to have a think! what would you guys do???

I dropped mine off with the dealer after I got an engine malfunction warning on the way to work. On the plus side, at least I got another All4 as a loaner. The automatic transmission in the loaner at least makes me feel better about my selection of a manual transmission.

Just installed an OEM center armrest from Sewell. Came out pretty well. Just over an hour to install.
