Installed MINI's Black Checkered Center Trim piece! Looks clean. Will look better once I update the center tach to get rid of the Mickey Mouse look.

Looks great! How hard are they to swap out? What color are the elliptical rings in your doors?

It was really easy. Took me less than 5 minutes. All I needed was a butter knife and a t shirt. One I broke it loose from the bottom, the rest inclipped easily. My door rings are the dark anthracite so they still match well.

Nice! Not too expensive either. How do they go on? I don't see any fasteners.

Ah, yes...the butter knife. I still have it handy from when I replaced my mirror caps with the Black Jack ones earlier this week.

Sounds easy enough, and the price is right. My door rings are silver, which is the color of the current dash column pieces. I think the silver and the checkered pieces should be OK together.

Today: Oil change at local Mini shop. Half-way between scheduled ones performed by Mini.

Tomorrow: Rotate and spin balance tires at America's Tire.

Put a AFE Pro-Dry S drop-in air filter in my Justa last night. Seems a bit peppier, more responsive and smoother. No noticable change in sound/volume.

I'm happy with it.

Painted my wheel calipers today. I used the Duplicolor brush on kit. It looks nice, but what a PITA! I used a foam brush to do the large areas. I also had to supply my own brush. The supplied one was horrible. It was falling apart after the first 5 mins.

Roof cross bars: installed
Two OEM bike trays: installed
Grille badges: fail! I tried to use mine from my clubman but the grill on the CM is too deep. Made a run to the hardware store for longer threaded m4 rod.

Installed NM ENG torque arm inserts. But what a PITA! Took 5 mins to uninstall the arm, but over 2 hours to get the damn thing back in with the inserts attached. It was just way to thick to go back in easily and took creative angling, pushing, and pulling on the motor. One tip- wiggle. wiggle like hell.

So far noticeable difference in idle vibration, and the take off from a stop is much better.

BG - had the same experience with mount - had to rock the motor a bit to get arm in.

Added clear stone guards. Tired of magnetic ones moving and having to remove when washing so bought bulk sheet of Xpel clear bra material and made my own.

Stripes applied!

Got my stripes applied today. Took Darth Mini to TechnoSigns in Oveido, FL. They did a great job. Glad Darth is not running around 'naked' any longer.

Mine came with the lettering as well. If you do not want it tell the dealer and see if they will remove it prior to installing the stripes. Can't say no if you don't ask. Mine said it was a popular request and did it without hesitation.

If not, don't have them install the stripes, remove the lettering yourself or have someone do it and then get someone to install the stripes.

I joined a local Mini group on Facebook and put it out that I was looking for a company to install, they recommended one and I went there.

Interestingly, if you look at the UK configurator, there is a no charge option called "model designation delete".

Installed Megan Coilovers, Hankook Ventus V12 evo tires and 19" NM wheels. Today was a good day

Thank you to everyone here who steered me in the right direction! Next week, installing LCA's and getting an alignment.

Looks good. You're sitting pretty low there. Any rubbing?
