As for putting the case under the armrest... in my car, the only position the glasses case can be and open with the handbrake up is all the way back.

Plus this gives me an excuse to get the red rail liner.
After seeing this thread, I've decided to order the VW sunglass holder to replace the side visor that I never use.

Good night for me and my mini yesterday, crossed 500 miles on the odometer and landed my first not-so-mini speeding ticket!

Bought a pulsing buzzer from radio shack today to create an audible door lock. Don't have an alarm system, I hate turning around to make sure my car actually locked.

So there are cars other than big pickups and Subaru's in Alaska?

I saw a blue Countryman in Juneau when my wife and I went on an Alaskan cruise.

Well, I'll have a few minor things to do this weekend. I just got shipment confirms from Way Motor Works and GoBadges.

Sent from my iPhone using NAMotoring

Took the baby car seats in and out. Seems like such a mundane thing, but now that I transfer baby seats from the CM to our nanny's car on the days she's with us, I appreciate the CM on yet another level. Car seats come in and out in seconds. Even in the Clubman they were a lot bigger pain in the *** to deal with. Not just having doors back there, but the room in general. Love it.

Tinted my windows with 20% tint.

Tomorrow I'm having my CM coded. Tuesday I will have the parts for the cup holder upgrade, new AFE dry filter, and I'm getting the JCW exhaust installed next week.

Washed and did a quick Mcguires spray wax, put on my Platypus plate holder from Cravenspeed, rear black tail light rings from Way Motor Works, and rear license plate frame from GoBadges with two badges. Then took a nap.

Today, nothing -- yet. But yesterday, I hit 500 miles. I'm about ready to call it good and broken in (1200 miles might just be way too long to wait!)

Also hit 850 yesterday...not too shabby after 1 week. Hopefully by next weekend I'll be free and clear!

Today, I hope to purchase some car care accessories (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - I read the detailing forum and feel completely overwhelmed!)

Nice! We have had ours two weeks and just zoomed past the 1200 mile break in before this weekend...this car is a LOT more fun between 4500 and 6500 revs

from an accessories point of view, I am a detailing fiend, but I buy virtually nothing that can be purchased in an auto parts store--they have pretty yucky stuff, IMO.

but, since you asked for opinions, some of my favorites:

California duster-fantastic for getting the dust off between washes....then..
QD(quick detail spray)-Crystal Mist from Pinnacle-incredible stuff for wiping down the car after a drive, and contains Souveran wax. Really makes the finish look like I just put a coat of Souveran on.....
Glass care-Invisible Glass to get the bugs and gunk off, but then...something I just learned about....Fast Glass towels...most incredible auto care invention in years...you simply get it wet, wring it out, and wipe the inside(and outside if you like), of your glass and walk away....BOOM all the film is completely gone...amazing..
Interior plastics/black plastic items-Formula 303...nothing compares, period
Tire dressing-Zaino. Been using it for years...it's not that mirror finish gloss crap from the auto parts store..a very nice clean look that lasts a long time.

those are the items I use all the time, for "upkeep" of the car....polishing and waxing is a whole different discussion!

I get virtually all of my stuff from autogeek.net. They have a huge selection, ship fast, and always seem to have an online coupon available.

Installed the torque arm bushing by NM and my first GoBadge.

There's a subtle but definite difference in feel with the new insert. So far I'm liking it a lot.

As for the GoBadge, it makes me go faster.
