R60 What did you do to your Countryman TODAY?

Went in for the second dealer service. Wasn't too appreciative of the SA at Mini of Marin treating me like I don't know shinola about cars. There was six issues that needed to be looked at, all minor stuff. Loved all of the excuses as to why these were happening. When I pointed out specific reasons/examples he changed his tune. But when the car was picked up by my wife on the service order receipt he put the same lame answers he gave when the car was dropped off. The last two times my car went in there I was really satisfied with the service. But this time was not so great. Oh well I'm going to be out of the time line for the next free service so I will take it to the local independent Mini shop who has always done a great job.

There is no change in sound with the tips. It's just for appearance. I bought them from Assured Performance. They are 304stainless double wall slant cut 4". 2 1/4" inlet 8" long. Straight forward install if you can weld. I cut the old tips off, expanded the 2" pipe to 2.25" then tacked the tips in position. I then took the exhaust down and finished the welds.
What made a sound difference was eliminating the second cat and resonator and replacing it with bullet resonator. Love the sound now. Deeper tone.

Installed the JCW intake. I purchased it from WMW. Took a little modifying to make work. Here's what I did:
1. I had to dremel some plastic material off the JCW portion where the MAF sensor insert tube connects. That section ended up interfering with the fuel pump.
2. I also had to dremel the JCW portion where the MAF sensor flange connects.
3. The bottom portion (resonator) of the JCW had to be removed. That was also interfering with the fuel pump. I will make up a plate where that was in order to close the intake off. Right now it's drawing a little bit of air from the engine compartment.
4. Swap the old clips (hold tubes/wires) to the JCW lid and bottom half. One of the clips on the side needed to be drilled and then fastened with a screw because there wasn't plastics to clip to. Another had to be shaved in half in order to clip onto the JCW lid.
In order to make the JCW intake work with the R60, you need the lower half of '07-'10 n14 intake. I found one at a salvage yard. They gave it to me for free because the top lid was broken.

They say the break in period can be up to 1k miles. 100 very light braking, another 100 moderate breaking, then 5-6 60-0 stops and let them cool. Not sure yet to be completely honest.

Right there with you in VA. Yesterday I unearthed the CM All4 while the 10 inches of snow was still light. Here's what it looked like just before I did it:
Today it was under about 2 inches of icy snow. Our neighborhood is mostly unplowed so I had to force my way through the snow to get out to larger streets, but other than a few icy wiggles, the DSC + All4 did fine. I didn't have to switch to DTC.

Indeed. From Y8S's sig I can tell they had a white roof, but they obviously went to a paint shop and had the whole upper third of their CM painted white....even the windows
