Sick of Winter

Despite the fact that winter is never going to end this year I decided I couldn't resist the warm weather forecasted for this week. I took advantage of the warm weather yesterday and threw on the new summer wheels and tires. From the short test drive yesterday they seem like they will be fun.

Ah, there's nothing like putting the sticky shoes back on and finding grip, oh wonderful, satisfying grip

Now, go find those twisties....while it's still warm

is it worth getting the mud flaps? does it help with dirt and rocks hitting the sides?

+1 for the mud flaps. I had mine installed before delivery (the only freebie I got). They really help keep the dirt off the lower panels.

Thanks. They are American Racing VN701 NOVA 18x9 with 245/40 tires. Now I just need some MINI center caps or decals. Unfortunately the caps are bigger than OEM MINI wheels.

Technically yesterday, but took my R60 to my (our?) first MINI meetup and met some great people! Shout out to all you DC Metro MINI and C3M members!

Great day for motoring with windows down and sunroof open in the DC metro area!

Drove my ALL4 in the snow with DSC turned off. Wish I had bought it at the beginning of Winter.

PICS! I've been busy!

PICS!!

1) Installed SprintBooster v2... WOW!!!! What a huge difference!
I didn't want the button or LED very visible so I mounted it on the left side of the steering column. Easy enough to access, but pretty inconspicuous.

2) Hardwired my garage door opener to a toggle switch which I installed in the overhead panel.

3) Installed the VIP rear wiper delete.

4) De-badged the boot. I think it looks MUCH cleaner now.

UP NEXT is... "Operation: Goodbye Grey" Standby for pics.

Great rollers!
What is the offset on the rims?

Any rubbing?

Thanks,
Tata

Here's some daytime shots.

Dpike - They were the standard gray color. I started noticing that they were getting stained by hard water spots. I was going to purchase new ones at 100 a pop but instead bought a 6 dollar can of PD and wahlaa.
