Had a chance for much needed wash. Washed version.

I had them painted before, but it was way too dark and never was a fan of the really smoked tail lights. Couldnt see much when in reversed so i went with the Laminx. In the pix it looks quite dark but is not and probably due to the dusk setting. I used the lighest Lamin x, the tint version so only 6%

That 6% looks great, that what I was going to say the lightest tint. Like a little lighter then the factory blackline 63212280158. Or very close to it.

The ones I got have a tab which shows where the top of the logo is. Easy to adjust prior to putting in once you realize what the tab is for. Mine are adjusted to be looking at you as you enter from each side as well.

3/5/15: In to the service department for yellow engine warning light. Thankfully it is still under warranty.

3/6/15: High pressure fuel pump went bad. Mini of Marin did a great job as usual.

Looks like I'll be buying an extended warranty in October when my factory warranty runs out. Per the SA if I had to pay for this it would have been over $700 (yes I realize that's dealer prices but an independent shop would've been up there too).

Finished the low cost front end mods at the weekend with the installtion of the chrome turn signal bulbs.

So the LED side lights and chrome turn indicators cost less than $20, the front now looks $100 better lol!

Oh, so you live in Dallas too?

(kidding) Our unusually harsh winter weather has completely destroyed many off our major highways, and I feel like I'm just minutes away from matching your wheel.

28,950 miles on my 19" P-Zeros, and now done with runflats. Put on Falken ziex ze950s in 225/40R19. while the shop was doing the work, I walked to Wallyworld and picked up a Slime kit.

Car handles a different and you don't feel the road quite as much, and 1/2 the DB level

slime wont help if you bend a wheel like I did. it broke the seal at the bead. pretty hard to drive on anything but a run flat in that scenario!

Of course you could carry a spare and a AAA card...

Yes that pic just want's to make you say ouch. I hit one a while back and the rim survived by it knocked alignment off. My fear is that with non run flat and the softer sidewall I am more likely to get to the rim.

i'm really not a run flat fan, but this happened last february. drove it to the dealer and they replaced it under the tire warranty.

if this was a regular tire it would have been a complete pita.

now that i'm hitting 30k miles i'll have to make a decision before summer on if i want to keep run flats or not.

Late post, but I got my R60 JCW today. Traded in my R56 for it, and I'm loving every minute of it so far. Can't wait til next winter to take her up to the snow.
Her name is MINI Maul (like Darth Maul from starwars) Oh and he first thing I did was hard wire my V1.

New tires put on.

Only one short drive so far, but happy with reduced harsh-ness and noise.

My CMS4 has 18" wheels, so the ones I ordered are 225/45R18.

The 'stones seem like a good value, especially for a RunFlat, especially if the ride & NVH are good. They'd save me the cost of a pump to put in the back, too.

Said goodbye to Chaos.

Realized about a month ago that we (family) had outgrown him. For just me he was great but when it came time for a family trip.....

So I traded him in for a 2012 Mercedes ML350 with 24k miles and CPO'd. But I still have the '65 and I'm sure there will be a JCW in the future for just me so that I can drive like a madman again (not that the '65 is a slouch).

Good luck to all of you and enjoy your Mini's.

Sorry to hear that, wow outgrown a Countryman, must be a growing family. The new ML is a five seater also, correct. Dont think it came with the extra row.
