Upgraded my 2012 cup holders to the larger, non-styrofoam puncturing 2013 cup holder! Did this to my last 2012 Countryman, so had to upgrade Buttercup! A little more challenging with NAV, but got it done!

Nice! How you liking the FMIC? I haven't installed mine yet, but I have a feeling its going to be a nice improvement. More-so since "turbo weather" is coming.

A little early, but...

...had the free time this week, so went ahead and mounted the winter wheels/tires.

My thanks to BMWr606 and others who have posted their experiences with non-std tire sizes.

Before I got busy with the coming Christmas season, I was able to swap her all-season tires with winter tires. This will be her first time to run in the snow, so I had to be prepared. 👍👍

Looks like you sprayed them on the interior flat gray ? Or Xenon projector housing on the halogen headlight ?

Its a flat textured black, similar to the stock black headlights (mine were originally chrome). I also sprayed the little bumps around the projector silver for contrast. I am using a kit from The Retrofit Source for the bulbs and wiring as I had halogens from the factory.

Do you have any instruction on how to spray, I mean removing the lens and so on?

thanks in advance

1. Remove your lights from the car and anything you can pull off of them (covers, bulbs, washers, etc.) Remove the metal clips holding the lens to the housing (there should be 5 per light).

2. You have to bake the headlights in an oven to pull them apart (275f for 7 minutes, and it will probably stink up the house a little bit). Grab a thin, flat metal prying tool (I used an old kitchen knife) and put on some gloves, then gently pry the lens away from the housing, unclipping the few tabs at the bottom as you do. Once they are apart, try and tidy up any of the stretched glue by placing it back in the channel.

3. The chrome trim attaches to the lens with a few small torx screws. Unscrew all of these, then carefully pull the trim out of the lens.

4. Paint. I used Plastidip and it worked wonderfully. Note that the chrome trim is not painted very well from the factory - if you wipe it down or try to put tape anywhere to mask it, the chrome will peel off and ruin the stock finish! There is no going back once you decide to paint, even with Plastidip.

5. Installation is reverse of removal. When you are ready to reseal it, press the lens onto the housing as much as you can, then throw it back in the oven again. When you pull it out, gently use some pliers to squeeze the lens onto the housing tightly and put your 5 clips back on. I purchased some additional butyl glue and added some to extra precaution to ensure my lights got fully sealed, but many people say the stock glue should hold up just fine.

Upgraded my lights to the brightest Sylvania lights available; I've had a few people think my brights were on lol...

Also gave Herbie a bath! I plan on getting the Black Jack accessories as well as some Go Badges!
