I backed the Countryman into a snowbank, and broke the plastic supports for the lowest part of the bumper. I was so mad at myself. I never do stuff like that. Just got the car too. Grrr.
I'm going to try and hack it back together redneck style tomorrow. I should be able to mechanically fasten the broken pieces together.

I drilled some holes, then used some existing holes, some machine screws, wing nuts, washers, and some scrap metal to join the pieces that had cracked together. It should hold fine, unless it sees any type of impact again. Total cost was just a few bucks for the hardware.
After hitting the snow bank, and before the repair, I had to take back roads home so I could keep the speed under 70km/h, or else the plastic would flap in the wind, and risk tearing itself off.

I'm intending to leave it as is. Although my repair was not elegant, it should hold, and will never be seen by anyone unless they are looking under the car.

Yep one modular plastic piece.
It's not a very durable piece.

Great, looks like an impact or break away piece for the bumper.

Well, Last night I found out what would happen if you leave your key in your pocket while moving furniture while it was raining outside..
WELL, You will get all your seats and floor soaked in your new 2016 countryman..
Why you ask?
So due to the new feature that allows you to open your doors with a push of a button.. "Convenience" I think ....
IF you push the unlock button for over 8 seconds the car with no lights or even a sound will OPEN ALL THE WINDOWS AND THE SUNROOF. "Rain of shine"
Have not been able to find anyway to turn this sometimes cool feature OFF ..
Sigh..
Put in a nail to hang keys on daily now..

SCAMPULA that super sucks about your car! As for the convenience key, you can turn it off, however it going to require you recode a few modules. Check out this tread on Countryman Coding. Good luck getting the car dried out!

Installed new position and fog lights. Got them from ECS. Got the white LED for the position (matches my factory xenon well) and the pure yellow halogen for the fog lights. The pictures do not do the yellow justice. They look really good in person. I was going to go white on both but very glad I went with the pure yellow for the fogs. I really like how the split looks between the two colors. See the pics below. Also here is a link to the bulbs.
