Here's my take on the ray stripes. Wanted red but they didn't offer. Sent the dealership photos of the Ray stripes and had them match them in chili red. Then used the red mirrors from the JCW design package.

Anyone have any exp installing these yourself? How hard are they to align straight? Is there a template or do they come with measurements and instructions? It is it just a box with a rolled up sticker in it?

Thanks!

They look to be the same. I have seen ones before on a promo car but I believe they were custom and not the ray line version.

The Dual Green Stripes are now on our site.

With the Alien Green , I do like how they named the colors, just look for the Green on our site, they are from the expansion with the Ray Line series that launched in Europe a year ago.

If you guys need anything else let me know.

You will have one cool looking Countryman.

So I just recently did stripes. I did straight lines instead of the trident on the hood cause it was more than I was willing to try and cut. I ordered the vinyl online myself. It was a learning experience.

Ordered vinyl from ebay from generic vinyl supplier. I ordered quite a bit extra just in case I messed up. Cost me about $100 total for front/rear/root/side stripes. I did a dark blue on my black countryman. If you just want to do the front/back/sides it's about $50 the roof just has so much surface area.

Since I did straight stripes down the center I was worried about the bulge in the hood. To ensure the outer edge of the two big stripes were straight I ordered slightly wider stripes for the hood and used knifeless tape to get the correct width.

A lot of my time was spent measuring the setting up the guide tape.
Next place where I spent time was cutting out the emblems and getting the application correct around the emblems (front/back). I messed up trying 2 different techniques.

You generally have a 2 inch space in the middle. Mark the center line and place two 1 inch strips of painters tape down the center as your guide. Once you have that it's fairly easy to apply the vinyl and keep straight lines.

It took me about 5 hours to do it on my own for the first time. For front/back/side. I needed a break and did the roof later (still haven't done it yet). I think now it would take me 2-3 hours. If everything is I pre-cut I think that it'd be in the 2-3 hour range.

Do you have the panoramic sunroof? Any trouble with the installation with that? And can I ask where you got your lime vinyl? I'm having an impossible time finding something to match the green mirrors and scuttles.

Thanks for the help!

I do have the sunroof and the installer installed the stripes on the glass-- seems to be fine. Pictures attached (apologies for the rain tonight).

Vinyl on "4" is raw "Bright Lime" vinyl sheet from fullintensitygrafx.com

I'm not sure its perfect, but it sure looks darn close to me.

Good luck.

is there any indication that the blue version, or any other color combo, will be released? I know the blue ones surfaced somewhere but aren't available.

For now on the Countryman Sport stripes just those four colors. And possible a fifth in blue. For the Hardtops R56 models looks like they are getting a little more selection. Keep checking back and I can update with more info.
