Mini Ray/JCW Stripes

Does anyone know when or if these stripes are available?

https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/press...tem=node__2318

Thank you

Thanks for the help. The stripes referenced in the links seem to be slighty different and "new" from the press release with alien green (and maybe other colors available) small side stripes. I was looking for the stripes on the white Countryman in the Essen show pictures.

It appears to me to be the stock viper stripes with an aftermarket accent stripes added to it. Doubt they will be available through Mini. You could get the additional accent strip at a local sign shop or from Vinyl Styles in San Carlos, for next to nothing. I hate how they added the green to the black accent stripe on the roof and boot, but deleted the black accent stripe all together on the bonnet. It's like they saw the stripes would hit the wiper fluid nozzles and got lazy. I'll take the headlight rings though if they are actually made in black (probably just vinyl wrapped though).

I'd be really interested to know as well; I had been thinking about going with some custom colored stripes on mine, but this 'touch of color' thing is just about perfect. Sure, I could have a shop do something similar to the stripes- but having the factory-direct mirrors and scuttle inserts in a matching color would be excellent.

All the information I can find online points to some special Ray edition being launched in Italy, but I can't locate any info on part numbers or a way to buy this stuff stateside.

Anyone?

Also found this in researching. Has an exterior black line. Guess I shouldn't have plasti-dipped my last weekend.

not from the pics i've seen. most of the earlier press pics have been jcw photos so they tend to be circulating more since '13 is the first year for it.

The reason I ask is bc all the above pics show a regular cooper S but with the JCW body trim.

Thanks PepeR60, now we're getting somewhere. Looks like black stripes with alien green trim are available as mini ray accessories in germany for the countryman. I will try to track them down for my new '13 All4 Absolute Black--picking up tomorrow.

Found the stripe kit on RealOEM:

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...60&hg=51&fg=95

Didn't have luck finding the part on ECS Tuning or other online retailers, though. At least we've got part numbers to chase down, now.

I'm in the process of de-red'n mine and doing this. I just ordered flat black JCW stripes, and lime green mirror caps. Once I get it I will get some lime green pinstripe tape (what do you think those are maybe 1"?) and a piece of vinyl for the rearview mirror (love that little touch)

Guess in the next few weeks I'm going to have to change my sig to HACKER 2.0 hahaha!

I will be curious what you find when you remove your existing stripes. I've toyed with that idea of re-striping mine. The car sits in a garage for a majority, so I imagine that the paint should be faded at all for being only a year old. Also, do they come off easily.

Was pretty painless. It's only about 48* F here today. The side what was in the sun just came off nice and easy. The shady side needed a hair dryer. Took maybe a half an hour to de-stripe it and snap back on the black caps and brake ducts.

After peeling it off there was a little sticky outline but hit it with a little goo gone and you can't even tell there was ever anything there. The car is only about 8 months old so I didn't expect any fade or discoloration.

Thanks for the update. It looks like the stripes et al are now available in the UK accessories line-up as "Mini Colours". Any sense of when they will be available in the US?

Is this (as well as the mirrors on your site) an exact match to the green caps that MINIUSA.com offers in the model configuration tool?

Thanks!

I just noticed that today when setting up an oil change. Part number is listed on the product page.

MINI Ray Sport Stripes / Alien Green 51142317859

Pimms will now get oil & alien stripes.

Are you doing the bonnet stripes? Those look awesome! I'm going for JCW side stripes, or a variation thereof, in the Alien Green assuming I can come up with a color code to match to.
