Don't follow my timeline too much because it got to the dealer faster than I could pick it up. It actually reached the port on Saturday, 3/30 and made it to Crevier by by Thursday, 4/4, but I didn't pick up til 4/9 because I was out of town. So if your car made it to port over the weekend then I would expect it take delivery by Thursday.

I haven't gotten around to the belt line yet, been busy. I have a few other mods in the works and will post pics of everything once I get everything done. Getting stripes then painting air ducts & mirrors caps done in the next couple weeks. Also, getting some KW V3 Coilovers installed by the end of the month. I'll try to squeeze in the beltline some time in between.

Finally got to see the new ride! It arrived @ the dealership yesterday.
First things first, anybody know anybody that wants to buy the meanest 2009 MINI Clubman S w/ 48.5K miles on it?

Yep. In fact, my Clubman S sold within 24 hours of my ad. It was fortuitous timing and the right fit.

Congrats man!

Did you make your ad?

Somehow, despite landing at the same time, my R60 languishes at the VDC... I think they flipped it. Then dunked it. HA. That will buff out.

WtFudge. dang that sux your car is still there. wonder why that could be.

and yessir i did make the ad. had a few nibblers but i grow impatient. the dealership offered me some cash for the clubman. im thinking i should just let them have it. hey its only money right?! that way i can be cruising in about 10 hours from now. if i do, first stop - tint shop!

dont sweat it, you'll be joyriding before you know it!

I wouldn't stress too much about trade in. You can try and negotiate it a bit. But your new car is there waiting for ya. This was the first time I managed to sell the car before the new arrived, frankly.

Excellent.

In fact, and I had a suspicion this might have happened, mine did arrive Friday and was already in service when by MA was out looking for it on the lot. It's ready today but I'm taking my wife over in the am for a little Mother's Day action.

Right on thanks! Everyone's a winner! I'm going to TW Tint in Tustin. They got rave reviews on yelp. $240 for all windows & sunroof. They also do vinyl. I was interested in some matte black stripes as well and will get a quote today. Maybe even get my taillights blacked out too!

Hey, I have an appointment there on Monday @ 9am for my stripes. The guy that's doing them is Colin. He does all of Crevier non-factory stripes.

Also Breezy, you going to Bimmerfest next weekend at the Rose bowl? I think some others on this forums are trying to put a caravan together to head up there.

HA! i totally met that dude colin! when my CM first got to Crevier last tuesday, i went by for a quickie preview and i saw this dude putting stripes on some of the MINIs there. Also the tint guys @ TW highly recommend him. They did awesome with my tint and i have an appt on tues for blacking out my tail lights!
Right now im trying to figure out what adhesive remover to use once i take the gigantic eyesore "c o u n t r y m a n" off the boot. I cant stand it! so far goo gone looks like the safest bet.
Bimmerfest? Sounds dope! sadly ive got guests coming into town next weekend and i have to play host. i bet youll see some crazy mods that'll inspier endless upgrades!
Please let us know about your experience with vinyl guy colin. ill for sure use him if you recommend him!
Also Manho1dup, did you follow any "breaking-in" guidlines for your JCW-CM? I read various threads on google about how you shouldnt exceed 3500 rpms or 75mph (on fwy) at least for the first 1000miles.

Sure thing, will let u know how the vinyl goes tomorrow and post some pics. He says he computer cuts them and doesn't do it by hand so he seems legit.

I'm surprised you didn't ask the dealer to remove the letter for you. Also, since they added the lettering, I've noticed that the cooper S logo got move up. I'm curious, is you JCW badge toward the top right or bottom right of the trunk? Mine is on the bottom right as I got my car before the lettering.

I just followed the break-in recommended by the manual. Keep under 4000 RPM & under 100 MPH for first 1200 miles. I went as far as to not even use the sport button (which was very hard to do) for those first 1200 miles, but I hear people use it anyways. After I hit the 1200 miles, I did my own oil change. Bought a filter from the dealer and put in Royal Purple 5W30 before I really played.

I was right. They had it Friday but my MA didn't realize it was already in the service bay. Picked it up Mother's Day. And they detrampstamped it per my request. And yes, no cover to the floor.
