Question Leasing a New CMS

I am looking to get a new car this November/December and the CMS is on my short list of cars that intrigue me. Let me give you a few facts about my situation and I would hope you guys could give me some good information:

1. The car I get has to be a lease because I won't have enough money to make car payments

2. My budget for payments is $250/month

3. The car has to hold one set of golf clubs (don't care about putting a seat down)

4. The car should be reliable for 3 years

I have been reading this forum for the past few days and see a lot of different problems with MINIs but most seem to be on older models, ALL 4s, and manual transmissions. I would be getting a 2014 or 2015 in Automatic. So my overall question is would a CMS be reliable for 3 years and what are your experiences with these newer models?

I can fill in more details about my situation if necessary to make answering easier.

Thanks

OK, leasing will save you about a $100+ a month vs. buying over 72 months

2. My budget for payments is $250/month

Seems low unless you plan to put a good amount down

3. The car has to hold one set of golf clubs (don't care about putting a seat down)

Check

4. The car should be reliable for 3 years

No problem, warranty and included maintenance would have you covered.

See answers above. If you think you will be driving more than 12K per year, it is much cheaper to lease with 15K miles included than it is to buy the miles at the end of the lease. They use a different residual vs. charging 15 cents per mile between the 12K and the 15K leases.

I plan to keep it under 12K/year and I know that will increase the price of the monthly payment, but my goal is to trade in my current car which has about $2000 value and using my superior negotiating skills to get the price down more. I just want some real world experiences with first 3 years of ownership.

42,000+ miles so far and got it in May of 2012. Outside recalls, no major issues. Had to get two window motor replacements, but all covered under warranty.

For your lease, you will be inside the 3yr/36,000 miles no cost maintenance time frame, so you should have to worry there.

My golf clubs fit just fine, drop the middle seat down in the rear and slide the clubs in.
