100K Preventitive Maintenance
I am getting close to 100K (currently at 98K) on my 2011 CMS ALL4, and was wondering what are something good items to replace as preventative maintenance. This is the list of items that I was thinking, am I missing anything?
Check Brakes (Pads/Rotors) Replace as needed..
Oil & Filter Change
Air Filter
Cabin Filter
Suspension joints (ball joints etc.)
Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

If it's an automatic don't change the fluid. It's more likely to slip after a fluid change if it hasn't been done before. The internal self adjustments will not be ready for fresh, slippery fluid if the thickened original fluid has been holding it together over the last 100k.
I'd also not bother with steering fluid. I've never seen a rack go out due to old fluid. It only needs to be flushed if you replace the pump or rack. There will be no difference in feel. I've done several PS flushes and always thought it was an absolute waste

I'd also suggestion to check the condition of the belts as well for cracking or dryness if you haven't already.

My most trustest MINI guru (Maurice at Bavarian Automotive in Wichita, KS)who has been the only hand to turn a wrench on our R53 since the warranty expired swears by BG44K. Fly'n Brick just threw a can in before his 6K mile West Coast odyssey and you might want to PM him for his opinion. Good Luck?

More opinion here...
The O2 sensors aren't considered a maintenance item by anyone I know. Sure they can be done, and they can be expensive, but if they're easy to do why not wait until they start to go bad? I mean, direct injectors clog but you never see anyone in a rush to drop coin on those as preventative maintenance
Speaking of fuel, I'd vote against the above recommendation for fuel system cleaning. IMO, it goes along the same lines as the steering flush. It takes time, some money, and gets messy, all for no perceivable benefit. I've done plenty of both of those services at dealers, and every tech always agrees that it's a sleazy service advisor that sells them.
Lastly, (or firstly) I'd look at the belts and hoses before starting the maintenance. Otherwise you'll have to make a run to the store for belts, or even worse, flush the coolant again if the lower hose is about to be a goner!

I have twice in nine years of ownership removed the PS fluid in the reservoir using a turkey baster with CHF11S ps fluid only. I heeded the advice on this site to just replace th reservoir fluid and do not flush the system due to breaking the factory seals on the hoses presents the potential for leaks. After nine years sofar so good. As for cleaning the fuel system, I followed the advice from this site, my independent MINI/BMW expert and the hundreds of customer reviews noted on Amazon and various other sites and have also used BG44K with great results with no fuss or muss. I have only used Toptier fuel as recommended by BMW, changed the oil once a year or at 5k miles, drained the coolant system once every four years, the brake fluid at two years and manual transmission fluid every 25-30k miles. I also check the oil, coolant and PS fluid often. It's a great habit to establish and will preclude expensive surprises down the road. Why do I do all this? Because I evaluated the advice on this site posted by very experienced and long term owners whose testimonials have proven valid. They haven't been wrong and knock on wood may we who adher to their wise advice will follow suit. Good luck.

The O2 sensor thing, came from a few different websites/manufacturers basically stating that with the extreme conditions the sensors are subjected to (heat, exhaust, etc..) that over time they could still be working where no code is thrown but would not be giving the engine computer 100% accurate information in regards to fuel/air mixture etc.. Not sure i completely buy off on it, but thats the idea behind replacing them at mileage intervals rather than when they fail..
