Smile replace the console heater switches on 2011

I recently purchased a 2011 countryman s and was wondering if anyone has replaced the console heating switches with a 2015 console switch set.

Explain? Why do you want to do that? Are they broken or . . .

They are not broken, I just find that the round switches are very small and noticed from the 2015 model, they changed the model with push buttons.
But I found a link on this forum from another member that actually replaced his console with the 2015 setup.
I will be making the changes next summer.

Okay, that explains it. Everybody was confused about what you were talking about, because the controls didn't change between 2011 and 2015.

Your car has the standard equipment manual controls and you want to upgrade it to the automatic controls (an extra cost option).

Sorry for the confusion, I recently purchased this Countryman S 2011 and still Learning on this vehicle.
Great car, already added the rear logo Countryman S on the rear trunk (something was missing), replace the original battery before winter (just in case), ordered new plugs (denso) and added a K&N filter.
Will be replacing the run flats next summer, will get a front strut bar (still not sure what model) need more reading, this forum is great.
Thanks for your help

Hi,

Just wodering if it is worth the hastle...if you are doing it for the looks, ok, if you want a better control, dont do it.

I find the automatic control not doing its job well. And i was told by the person who was part of developing team of the automatic Ac that the control is bad. Do not know how you other r60 auto con owners think about the auto control...

Thanks for the advice, I was not aware as an option the automatic unit was offered, as I purchased a used model from the dealer, you buy as is.
I guess this mod is not a major problem, for now I just wanted to have it running perfectly right from the start ... and next summer will replace the tires and add a front strut bar.
The rest will stay as is for now.
