Bumper paint issue

I've had my countryman about three weeks. I got it used but it was only 8 months old and had been preowned for 4 months. I looked over all the records and was assured that they even check paint depth to make sure nothing had been messed with. They reported no problems. I washed my car yesterday and as I passed over the front bumper with my camos cloth when drying a paint chip came off. I was upset. Today I looked at it to inspect it again and two pits in the paint have appeared as well as an area that has been clearly repainted with non matching paint. Well, now I'm pissed. What are my options? It looks awful and I suspect each day it will look worse.

Ok, I'll state the obvious: Go back to the dealer you bought it from.

I was planning on calling/emailing first as it's over three hours drive from where I live.

Yes, your best bet is to contact the dealer you bought it from and go from there. Be sure to take pictures of it.

Any update, might have be repaired by the previous owner in a small bumper incident, did the carfax show anything ? Might have been a New car that was bumped and the paint shop who did it, did a bad job on the primer part. Hence the chipping.
