Thinking about buying this Countryman...

Long time R53 owner. My mini is on it's last legs.

Thoughts on this? It has most of the bells and whistles. What are things I should look for?

One thing I noticed is the engine had a kinda loud clicking noise. Is that normal? Sounds a little like the R53 timing chain tensioner issue.

All opinions welcome!!!

Be aware that some complain about the manual transmission... If you search the forum, you can find fixes (Jb+/sprint booster). The engines have a ticking sound when running but that is also discussed. Maybe an inspection is in order before buying? Good luck.

I'd want to see maintenance records, especially oil change frequency. Pretty important on these cars. Get a ppi.

Did you check nearest mini dealer? You could get a certified pre owned for similar money and half the miles.

I picked up a 2014 with 5900 miles auto tran for 22k. No nav and I got the crappy headlights. Besides that I'm happy with my CMS. To me the price seems to be high for the milage.

Might be just the injectors the N18 engine dont really have the timing issues. Looks nice, get a pre inspection.
