High pressure fuel pump (HPFP)

Hey everyone, I'm having some problems with my 2011 Countryman S All4. It has been throwing code P15DF, starting rough in cold weather, missing, then when it gets warm it runs fine. Sometimes it runs on reduced power after throwing the Engine Malfunction - Reduced Power warning.

After researching on the net, it seems I may need to purchase a new high pressure fuel pump. Does anyone know if MINI extended the warranty on the 2011 model Countryman? I know they did on some earlier model R56's. Also have been trying to find a reconditioned fuel pump, but they seem to be non-existent. Thanks for any advice.

I believe the recall was for the N14 engines and not the N18's, which is what yours has. From discussion on here dealers have told more than a few N18 owners that the N18's "don't have the HPFP issue." Although, we have seen more than a few N18's with HPFP issues on here. Lots of good info on the recall in this NAM thread HERE. Also, an individual with an '11 got it covered HERE (post #3 has the recall notice paper) so it wouldn't hurt to call and ask your local dealer if your MINI qualifies.

Have not heard of any N18 recalls on the HPFP yet. Some people were getting them covered under the dealerships as emission extension on N14 or good will, but there was no recall. On the N18 HPFP for up to 3/2012 ( 13517592429 ) is here as well as the DIY for the N14 which is similar :
