R60 Front Brake Bolts Torque
#1
#2
for R56 the specs are:
Brake Pad Carrier to to Wheel Hub M12x1.5 110Nm or 81 ft/lb
Caliper to Brake Pad Carrier 7mm Allen 25-30Nm or 18-22 ft/lb
I would assume that R60 specs are relatively similar...
However, the 81 seems kinda high to me.. Honestly, I've have been a tech for many years and not everything needs to be torqued. Just tighten the bolts till they are pretty damn snug, and then give it a final snug. Figure this, if you use an 8-12" ratchet, it will likely provide you with enough leverage for correct torque. In other words, as long as you don't tighten the bolts with a breaker bar.....lol......you should be ok.
Turning wrenches has a learning curve if you will, that you develop a "feel" for.... Don't get me wrong, if you were tightening a cylinder head or rods, I would say to get proper torque specs, but I wouldn't worry about this.
Just replace your pads, put it all together, and tighten that $h!z up...
Good Luck. Drive Safe & Drive Often. Rubber Side Down. Over & Out.
