@dpike, good morning. Have you had a JB+ and a Sprint Booster on a R60 or a Mini in general? Sprint Booster is next, then an intake, that will prob wrap any bolt on engine mods for me. I try to do one upgrade every 3k miles in alliance with oil changes. Also allows me to feel the effects of each individual mod.

I have also researched this very subject thoroughly on this board and have messaged many respected members of the community here. General consensus among non-vendor guru's and mechanics is that the JB+ is plug and play with performance boosts of a modest gain. I like mine. Noticeable difference but subtle. It appears to be a safe mod when considering goodies to add to your car that hopefully won't lower the longevity and reliability of your Mini. General consensus on the sprint booster among the same non-vendor guru's is that the sprint booster is "snake oil" and certainly not worth the price tag especially when comparing the two. The JB definitely does what it is supposed to although the website claims on HP increase are certainly exaggerated. You will get far less for roughly the same price on the sprint booster. $200 can get you a lot of awesome accessories including service upgrades.

So interesting. The Spring Booster seems to be a guaranteed difference in feel based purely on what it does. If the throttle body opens faster then it has to affect the feel at the pedal and the response at the wheels. If I can cut down my lag time and get more crisp and immediate throttle response with the Sprint Booster, and combine that with a little extra go from the JB+ and a little extra growl from an intake I think I will be a happy camper. Thats assuming all of those components play well together with the electronics in my 2016 CM S all4. Hmmm.....

I've had a sprint booster on my R53 JCW and the throttle response I got out of it was amazing. I can tell on my R60 it lags in response.. I would think the sprint booster is worth it but at that price, it's not high on my list on what to get next.. but I will cross that road if I want it or not when I get to it...
I wish the R60 boards was just as busy as the R53's, R56's, etc....

I had both the jb+ and sprint booster and loved it, while sprint booster doesn't "add" anything to the car, it makes the throttle so much more fun, and with living in the Midwest, in the summer time I aid the powerband hit point a bit and then lower it for safety purposes in the winter time made it a great choice. I have gone away from the jb+ in favor of a manic tune but still run the sprint booster, and the on the fly changes make it very practical

I'll update after I get the tune. Also I have enabled sport mode as well and you can definitely feel a little more pep on top of the sprint booster, feels better to me with the steering tightened up a little.
