GGGGrrrr......HPFP
Some of us, if not the most, do not like just replacing parts when they fail. We want to know, at least me, WHY they failed!
So, the big question is, why do the N18 engine HPFP fail? what is about the design that makes it fail?
I tried using N14 solenoid and it did NOT work. I noticed the openings are bigger on the N14 HPFP solenoid.
I three pumps that my R60 does not like and i also have an N14 HPFP that i can spare for this experiment.
any thoughts?

Rumor has it that running the tank low on fuel can lead to HPFP failures. I also read on another site that it was the ethanol used in gasoline that causes the failure. I dont recall ever reading exactly what lead to the failures. What i do know is that this has been a problem for BMW and MINI models for about 10 yrs now/
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed here at least a couple of times before this....
