SOLD - R60 Spare Tire Kit (space saver) For Sale
We got rid of our 2012 Countryman
Here is a spare tire kit that we had under the trunk lid, fit perfectly.
It includes the following.
1: Mercedes-Benz C230 C320 Kompressor Space Master Spare Tire 165/15/89P
( 252092526994 ) Originally paid $150 for this.
1: TDN Dubnutz Adapter Kit (http://www.tdnparts.com/spare-tire-adapter-kit/) Originally paid $139 for this.
1: Viair 77P Portable Air Compressor $45 on Amazon.
This kit was awesome, fit right under the truck lid with room to spare. It was never used.
I'll sell the whole kit for $275 plus $25 shipping to the continental US.
Quite a deal for great peace of mind. Send me a pm if you are interested.

The tire is a specially made collasible tire mounted on a rim, that Mercedes used and I know some new Chrysler minvans use (with a adapter made by TDN to fit on a Countryman). Worked nicely as a spare with my 17" nonflat tires.
TDN is out of business - no more website. If you want to see pics of kit I sold - go to Member Marketplace section for Countryman R60 - and my listing is part way down.
Good luck.

Just bought this set up. Found the tire on ebay for $100 and bought the adapter from ez accessories, $75 plus shipping for two. Will sell the other one eventually for half what I paid once I determine they're ligit and will work. Haven't test fitted anything to the car yet.
Seems I'm gonna have to drill out the bolt holes on the tire for the "lugs" on the adapter to fit. Anyone else with this set up have to do the same?

There were two with this color combo when I was looking. This, to me, was the better of the two. A couple of others on the Countryman FB page have posted the same color combo but I believe they were all out of country. It's one of the reasons I bought this one. Love that combo.
I contacted the support department I bought the adapters from. I agree with you on the drilling. But It really is only like a thread depth difference in them fitting. So not a lot at all has to come out. I figure I'd be okay since I'm not one of those that would drive the mess out of it with a spare. I'd go straight to the tire shop

I have a similar setup and found out the spacer didn't work the hard way.

links to something and me shrugging my shoulders. It looks like more than an inch (> 25.4 mm). Other posts say that a 22 mm spacer is not enough to get the wheel on the front.
Maybe you can experiment?

Thanks for the info! Can I ask what your original set up is? I have a 2016 Countryman S ALL4 (R60) with 225/45 r18, factory wheels are 52mm offset. Although that's probably overkill, haven't had a chance to measure it. So, if MB SpaceMaker is a 12 offset + 25mm adapter/space = 37MM should be enough?
Also, Calculation and research show rolling diameter should be 26" on the OEMs and I'm wondering if the MB spacemaker is a 26" diameter inflated? I assume since its AWD you cant deviate too far from the diameter or it screws up the diff. Markings on the MB SpaceMaker/Vredestien tire say 165/15 89P. That doesn't seem to jive with normal tire markings. 165 is width, 15 cant be the profile so must be rim size?... is 89 the profile?.
Thoughts?

Have 2015 Countryman All4 JCW w. 225/45R18 on factory mags. The actual size of the space maker tire is 165-15 89P (when inflated) or 165/89R15 which equates to 26.6" diameter vs 26" for stock tires, so 2% difference which shouldn't be a problem with AWD. In addition would only keep it on as long as necessary.
Believe I saw some old threads when I purchased it where they used a spacer less than 25mm but they had to use it on the back, wouldn't clear the JCW front brakes. Would still work, but extra step if the flat is on the front.
