Oil Filter housing leak - repair manual
Hey guys, I just had a code for the temp sensor and replaced the thermostat housing. I don't know what level of a coincidence this is but I have been chasing a coolant leak ever since... I assumed it was from the housing I replaced because I just replaced it but it was coming from between the turbo and the engine. I saw the stream of coolant dripping off the top of the oil filter housing. I called my local mini and the service tech said the oil filter housing is the only thing that going to leak coolant in that area of the engine and quoted $1200 in repairs. The countryman has 49k miles and is out of warranty by 2 years, even if mini provided half the labor I would still do the repairs myself. My only issue is that I cannot find any service manual for the 2012 countryman s. Does anyone know where I can get this info to start my repairs? Or does anyone know the steps to get it out?

Thanks for the reply. Great tech info site but nothing on the oil filter housing even on the r56. I found this online http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti..._Replacing.htm Anyone know how accurate it is to the r60?

Sorry. I am a little lost. You say there is nothing on the site I provided when it is the full service manual for your car, including engine.

What you need, everything you need including torque specs, is on the site. You just have to do some searching.
You will also need to follow the preliminary tasks so that you remain in sequence.
Good luck.
