It goes under the front seat until its needed. Make sure its in there tight. Most people dont know its under the seat in the Countryman and cant find it when they need it.

Had to look and did not find the tow hook under the seat. Basically tore the car apart and found it. But it was in a pouch with a screw driver, a cap for something ?, screws for the license plate holder, (we only have a back plate issued here) and their business card. Good to have the hook since I didn't know of it, but didn't know of the pouch. Something new ?

The tow eye bolt is just fine for pulling the car up on a flat bed or for pulling it out a snow bank or ditch. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the car could be lifted by that eye bolt. They are tough kit. Forged steel.

Yeah, so they can then haul the car to a buddy's shop and have the bent suspension/steering replaced.
