R60 vacuum pump assistance

So I'm curious about the vacuum pump on my car.. the main vacuum hose on the top creates the pull correct? And the bottom line leads to vacuum tank? I saw a guy on YouTube who had pulled some seafoam into the vacuum pump upper nozzle thinking he was pulling that stuff into the intake.. how does the entire system flow?

The upper goes to the brake/clutch booster. the lower to the vacuum canister and from there it goes to the valve and then to the turbo.

So if that guy in the video was sucking seafoam into the upper outlet where was it going? The upper creates the vacuum for the booster

It was going into the brake booster or the vacuum lines and reservoir for the turbo wastegate control. That’s all there is. It doesn’t ever enter the intake at all. The variable valve system on these mean that they run at almost 0 vacuum on the intake. That’s the whole reason the vacuum pump is required, so there is vacuum supplied to the brake booster. Running the wastegate off of it is just a bonus.
If he was introducing it into the larger line, it more than likely filled up his brake booster vacuum reservoir nicely with sea foam!
Unfollow that dude and NEVER do what he does! Ha ha

He was letting it suck into the vacuum pump itself via the top inlet
