2012 R60 misfire
So on my way home from work today traveling up a steep hill I accelerated up to about 4000rpms and the car started to jerk almost like a trans slipping. Instantly went into limp mode and barely got it home. I scanned the car and got codes for multiple misfires. Cleared the codes turned it back on and got cylinder 3 misfire. Before I go picking and prying things apart anyone have some advice on where to begin? Thanks in advance! Also, 3 weeks ago I changed the oil pump solenoid, vvt solenoid, and the camshaft sensor.

Not sure what your codes are but I had something similar recently where it went into low power mode only on higher RPM (Freeway On ramp). I ended up pulling the coils and plugs and one of the coils looked like it has a little bit of junk or something in the boot where it sits on top of the plug. A little bit of corrosion. I put in new plugs and coils from Rock Auto and took it on a beat run, that was my problem anyways..

Happens to me as well at least once a year, always at an inconvenient time. I keep the code-reader in the boot from now on.
For whatever reason, it's ALWAYS misfire on cyl 3.
At first, I did replace the coils/plugs every time, but c'mon - that got ridiculous. No other cars make you do plugs & coils every 10k miles. Plus, it didn't actually fix the issue for any length of time.
Now I clear the codes and hope for the best.

Just a little update on my situation hopefully it will help someone in the future. I cleared my codes then put ignition coil 3 on cylinder 2 and coil 2 on cylinder 3. Started the car up waited for CEL and did my scan. This time it came up misfire on cylinder 2 so I just went to my local auto part store picked up a cheap ignition coil and boom problem solved. Will be placing an order tomorrow for all new better coils and plugs. Thanks for the advice fellas!
