Clutch question

I have a 2013 Countryman S , 82000 miles. Clutch is not slipping, shifts good, but the clutch pedal seems a little firm and doesn't have much play before it disengages . Trying to figure out if clutch is wearing out.
Having a little trouble feathering it in 1st when on an incline. This car is fairly new for me, my first mini , 6 speed manual. 2 owner car and very well maintained.

An increase in pedal effort can be a sign of clutch disc wear. But it is hard to know more pedal effort is out of the ordinary for your car without being able to at least depress the clutch pedal in other similar models to know if the pedal effort is just more because that is the norm for this model or if it is more and outside of the norm.

Have you tested the clutch for slipping? If the clutch slips then it is done.

If it is not slipping the clutch still might be done. (I had a car with 317K miles on its clutch and it didn't slip but oh my the pedal pressure required...)

Before I would have the car in for a new clutch for the difficultly in smooth feathering I'd recommend a clutch hydraulic system fluid flush/bleed. (And while you are at it have the brake hydraulic fluid system flushed/bled too.)

Also, you might ask the tech his opinion on the amount of force the pedal requires. Is that normal or a sign of clutch wear and enough to warrant a new clutch?

Thanks for the reply, The clutch doesn't slip at all. Drove this morning and all fells good. Maybe when it's hot i notice it more and again it could be my 77 year old leg just not as good as it was!
I did get a reminder to change the brake fluid a month or so ago but didnt do it.
I would like to feel another Mini clutch Maybe its just me. Have not had a CAR with manual in ages. Only drove trucks, different animal.
