Does anybody else still have a Mini on the Fedora? I am not much liking how close they are getting to Maria. I'm sure they know what they are doing... right?

I’m sure they do have a plan. This just makes the wait more entertaining, I suppose.

I would definitely have to have a stiff drink tracking Fedora still has time to step on it and get the heck out of it's way though If only our MINI's could talk about their journey

Yup. I used Victoria, too.

Today’s the day!

Mine is due in to Baltimore one week from tomorrow (9/28). It's going to be sailing through the North Atlantic right when the two storms are fighting it out to see who has the biggest eye wall.

Eeep!! Well, if it’s any consolation, my initial impression is that Holland builds an excellent MINI! See pics on Picture thread.

Love it!!!!!! It’s fantastic!

That is a beautiful silver. I noticed that color when I was checking out colors before ordering. Under certain lighting conditions it has a hint of bronze which looks quite stunning. Congrats!

My order was submitted on September 12th.

I will have to go through this thread to understand the sites, apps, tips and tricks for stalking progress. Right now, I don't even have a VIN and as far as I know, mine is simply sitting in the queue as a number waiting to be called.

Mine will be a:
2018 Countryman JCW
Rebel Green
18" wheels with all season tires
Fully Loaded
Lounge Leather - Carbon Black with memory Sport seats
Piano Black trim
Chrome interior package
Manual

I have time to wait and am trying not to think about it - although this thread is not helping! lol

Thanks Kwolfman. I think I like it. Wasn’t quite sure. I guess it’s best described as Gunmetal?

Thanks. They’re softer than I thought they’d be. So glad I went for the power seats. They’re so much more adjustable, particularly the seat bottoms, which can tilt independently, thus making the extender actually useful.

Thanks!

I am strongly considering adding driver's assist. It would be nice to have a fully optioned JCW as I plan to keep it low miles.

I like the feature such as the speed limit information on Advanced Driving Assist

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought reading thru this thread. Each dealership gets allowed 1 JCW and 1 SE per month quota. So if someone already ordered a JCW from your dealer this month, you would have to wait till the next. I also read that the JCW's were all built together which caused a delay in production waiting for enough orders to start the builds.

Someone else on here can either confirm this or just totally tell me I'm wrong haha

My build sheet stated the dealer quota as 2017/9 and the Conf. Prod as 2017/09/38 - so I am hoping my JCW build sheet is turning into metal being shaped sometime this week!

You were probably reading some of my messages/rants. My MA told me about the JCW and SE slot allocations. He also said it was very common for dealerships to horse-trade to pass slot allocations around. My dealership apparently did this for me when I ordered my JCW.

My MA also told me about the delay in JCW builds to around the first week of September (I ordered July 5). Neither he nor I knew why. I was speculating that there may have been some parts delay or some reason to batch JCW builds together. I do know that a whole bunch of JCWs (30-40) were built right around my JCW on Sept 1. I could go to the bimmer.work web site, enter the last 7 characters of my VIN and I could see when my JCW was built. I could then keep subtracting 1 or adding 1 to the number and I could see groups of JCWs being built within a day or two.

I suspect the slot allocations are probably true, it is less clear whether MINI commonly builds JCWs in batches. I would think it is probably true due to the different parts required for JCWs (brakes, exhaust, engine, etc.) They probably order these in batches.

Go to the bimmer.work web site and enter the last 7 characters of your VIN. You'll be able to see the date the car was "completed". If it has a bogus date, then the car hasn't been built yet.
