Brought my SE home today and I love it!!! I've been playing with her all day long....LOL! No time to take any pictures yet but will post some tomorrow. The Island Blue is absolutely gorgeous and photos do not do it justice.

Can't wait to see @kwolfman's JCW in the Island Blue with Chili Red Roof & mirrors:-) It's going to be awesome!

darex: CarPlay works perfectly fine with IOS 10.3.3. Couldn't find a way to adjust the HUD lights:-( It is what it is......Either I'll adjust to it or not use it at night. During the day I'm okay with it.

Got the MINI all weather mats and luggage mat for the boot. Will order the WeatherTech ones for the winter when the front ones are available.

Charging her up right now. I'm afraid I played a bit more than I probably should have in Sport mode and drained the battery.....LOL! It's just a blast:-)

Going to take a week or two until I'm feeling comfortable with all the technology but it sure is going to be a fun learning process!

 

Car was supposed to show up Friday. Didn't. I worked Saturday and kept checking every time I took a car over. Didn't show. Checked Sunday night, no show. Nothing today. Got pulled aside by our sales manager and told MINI is holding up a truck that had left port due to significant hail damage to Cara onboard and wanted to make sure that my car had made it to the dealer. I was like "Nope!". Owners Lounge says delivery date was someti.e this weekend.

 

I can't wait to see the pics! I may or may not have groaned that pics were not up already.

One of the tracking sites said my ship has been delayed a day. Stupid storms . It is now due in 9/29.

I was hoping my ship was riding the waves on the north side of a hurricane. I pictured it surfing the storm surge all the way up the Chesapeake to Baltimore then softly gliding to a stop right at the port. Kawabunga baby (need a hang-ten emoji)

Understand your frustration with ship arrival date delayed Ours was delayed by 2 days also thanks to Irma and Jose. As long as it arrives with it's precious cargo unscathed. Those last few days were tough to wait out for me. Hang in there

What is the engine break-in time frame? How many miles do i have to take it easy on the 2.0?

 

According to the 2017 Countryman manual (pg 190), the engine, transmission, and drive axle have 1200mi/2000km break-in period. Keep engine under 4500rpm and 100mph.

Tires - 200mi, Brakes - 300mi.

 

Geez, that's a lot of miles! I thought 500 was long enough.

Eeek! That's so exciting - mine will look similar except with the roof/mirrors are black like the wheels. Yay for the chesterfield leather club, the one I test drove had it and it is sooo amazing. There is grey stitching and piping in the upholstery that I hope will work well with the moonwalk exterior.

 

No, have pets so I opted for the Carbon Black Leatherette. Easier to keep clean for my use. But I fell in love with that Chesterfield Leather the minute I saw it!

I didn't want all black interior, so I did not get the black headliner and I'm very happy about that. The grey leather was sharp also

That's the best news I've heard all week! Please please post photos with the door open. I've been to the dealership twice to try and decide if I thought that combo would look good. Even did some photoshop mash ups lol. I think I like it but it's hard to say with out seeing one in the wild! Props for going for it!

 

Haha that's funny, cause my wife said the same thing when we were building it. I'm confident with the anthracite headliner it will look good.
