F60 Now that we have a F60 area, let's have a photo thread!

Not the greatest picture (will take some more later this week!) but just wanted to stop by and say hi! Just picked this guy up yesterday from the dealer after just shy of 3 months waiting. 2019 JCW Countryman in British Racing Green with Black Roof and British Oak interior and basically every option available :D They delivered with winters on the vehicle (19" summers are in the boot). I didn't get to keep the bow unfortunately. Now I need to sell my 2004 R53 :( Will miss that car but so far I'm having plenty of fun in this one. T-minus ~1,400km until it gets a Dinan Elite.

Here's a couple more pics. Sad to list the R53 for sale today but it's not practical for a family car (just welcomed my daughter to the world a month ago). Pretty happy with the replacement though and getting happier about it every time I drive it. Very comfortable car but still reasonably fun to drive.
I just noticed today that I have 3 USB Type-C ports in this car! One under the arm rest and two in the center console in the back. I couldn't believe it when I noticed this! Pretty neat! Now I just need to buy some USB-C to USB-C cables ... all the ones I have are USB-A on one end.
I also find it interesting that the British Oak interior in Canada only applies to the seats. In the USA (and maybe elsewhere) it also applies to the doors and lower dash trim (see MiniDAL's pictures a few posts up in this thread).
Out with the old, in with the new.
Not a bad looking car!
Love the British Racing Green with British Oak interior.

Those two usb-c ports are the first thing I noticed in the back when I went to put the child seat in. Apparently they were added as part of the July production change.

I think because you have a JCW is why the door cards and lower dash remain black instead of getting the full color line treatment that's required on the other models with British Oak interior.

I was very surprised by the USB-C ports. Especially because I'm not aware of any device that actually comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable - they all have USB-A on one end! I'm sure we'll get there one day and I'm ready for that but in the meantime I need to buy some new cables.

Apple has a 30W Power Delivery charger. It has a USB-C port rather than a USB-A connection and uses a USB-C to Lightning cable for existing iPad Pros and iPhones to deliver rapid charging... and they just announced new iPad Pro models that also have a USB-C port instead of the Lightning connector... thus USB-C to USB-C... I would bet money that next year's iPhones will also drop the Lightning port.

Right, but Apple's products still don't come with a USB-C to USB-C cable right? That's all I was saying - there is no product out there that comes with a USB-C to USB-C connector out of the box. We'll get there within a few years but for now it will require buying a new cable. I'm just surprised (in a good way) that BMW/MINI are jumping on USB-C so quickly before it's widely used.
This is what's in the box:
- iPad Pro
- USB-C Charge Cable (1 meter)
- 18W USB-C Power Adapter

To clarify... the new IPad Pro models do come with a 1m USB-C to USB-C cable and USB-C charger in the box. These new devices can be ordered online now and begin shipment the day after tomorrow (Nov 7, 2018) at least in North America.

I like the way British Oak looks with the all black interior as well, good choice.

Every combined electronic e-brake caliper that I've run across (Mini, Tesla and Land Rover) just uses direct current to wind in and then reverse polarity to wind out. When it clamps against the rotor, the added amp draw just shuts it off and tells the car it's set. All the logic seems to be built in on the car side of things.
