Picked up another Mini this past week, already getting started with the customizing (just the Sparco Gravel wheels so far). Settled on a 2018 S in Thunder Gray.
Gonna black out the chrome & silver bits, which is a little harder than I expected it to be....
Any simple way to black the roof rails & side skirt piece, other than paint or plasti-dip?
And I see that some headlights have black edges, but most are silver (not the trim ring, the headlight itself)?

Had a 2017 Countryman S ALL4 for too short of a time...
2017 Mini Countryman S ALL4 R.I.P.
After only 3 weeks, someone failed to yield and turned left in front of the unsuspecting Blue Beauty...
Blue Mini...I hardly knew ye. I'm sorry I didn't protect you better. (Darn that 18-y.o. driver--Left turns deserve better attention)
But, after our short relationship with the 2017 Blue Mini, we found a gorgeous 2021 British Racing Green Countryman (Oxford Edition)
Our 2nd Mini Cooper Countryman. This time it's a 2021 British Racing Green Oxford Edition. Not an S ALL4 but still really fun.
Hope we can take better care of her

Me and my wife bought a 2019 Countryman ALL4 PHEV almost a year ago while i was a tech at a Porsche dealership. I saw it on the lot one day and after checking it out and learning that mini had a plug in hybrid i convinced my wife that it would be the perfect daily driver for us. 20k+ miles later, we haven't even owned it for a year and it's the best car we've ever had ( considering we've had almost 10+ cars, most of them being mine lol Currently though it's just the 2019 Countryman, 1995 Land rover discovery, and 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer evo 8) . I'm getting ready to put some General grabber AT3 on it as we do a lot of BLM camping around Mojave and Joshua tree. The AWD system hasn't let us down yet and we've driven it through some sketchy stuff. I've pulled 19ft boat trailers up grassy hills with the Dynamic traction on and it barely spun a tire.
Here's some pictures from just a couple trips:
Somewhere in Arizona
Gila Hot springs in New Mexico. Highly recommended
I think this is in Arkansas. It was on our cross country drive from CA to SC. 2600ish miles. I think we averaged 26 or 27 mpg while towing, with an average speed of 71. We only had 4 days to do the drive so some speeding was involved.
We live close to Pismo beach dunes and i go out on weekends to rescue out of towners who get stuck at the entrances. Keeps my weekends interesting. Anyways, the Land Rover refused to start after getting coffee so my wife brought the mini and we towed the land rover 1 mile back to our house. We did it in EV mode since the torque was instant and according to my wife she didnt notice she was towing a 6000lb land rover haha. She's still in the car if you look closely.
I've got plenty of more pictures of our adventures in this thing but i don't want to take over the thread. I'm working on coding in the intelligent cruise control so we can use that for our 2600 mile drive back to CA. I guess we'll see how well it works while towing. *fingers crossed*
