I'm looking for android auto for my 2018 Mini Cooper Countryman without NAV. Would this be possible? I have a touchscreen system.

I've seen a bunch of conflicting info of needing to install a box.

 

There is no Android Auto for MINI cooper. You have to use an interface box/MMI if you want to have Android Auto on your car.
However, the newer LCI models have a New MINI connected operating system, that has facility for Android Screen Mirroring using ScreenCast apps.

Hello all - wondering if, after installing CarPlay, any of you have seen odd behavior of your overall system.

Starting about 3 months ago, the entire system reboots itself while driving - and it seems to be fairly consistent at about every 25 minutes:
-driving along with CarPlay and the 8.8" screen working just fine
-for no reason, screen goes entirely dark
-reboots back to the main screen (not CarPlay)
-CarPlay can be reselected and reconnected

There seems to be some kind of consistent time-based issue here. Anyone else seen this and/or had it diagnosed/fixed by a respected tech?
