"I was referred to you by Steve an Mini of Boston Facebook page - classic story my wife just bought a 2021 Cooper 4-dr and it does not have Apple Car Play. The Bimmertech guys are telling me its not possible (head unit?) but here is the VIN ....M2N90654

Can you help at all or suggest a workaround?

Hi, GM. Can U send me an image of your car dash with the infotainment screen to see if i can suggest?.
I am enclosing a sample image an infotainment system that comes with some types of MINI & if your car has such type of infotainment system, it would be very very difficult, time consuming and expensive to upgrade to car play.
If your car has the same type of infotainment as is in this image enclosed, it is practically impossible to upgrade to carplay. You can let me know.

I believe that's the lower-end non-touch-screen/nav/tech display. You need the larger one like this, and that's date coded I believe 7/2017 or later. I added it to my wife's 7/2017 F60 a few years back. But she already had the tech/nav package.

 

Hi everyone also new here, and trying to figure out activating car play.
I have a 6.5 inch touch screen without navi. What I've been told I've got an entrynav2 hu. I have checked and saw that I have wlan port but no wifi antenna attached. So assuming someone can activate carplay for me I first have to acquire and connect an antenna, right?
