I guess I’m not clear on what you’re asking.

 

The one on the larger screen is NOT full screen carplay.
The album artwork on the right is just one of the MINI split screen options.

Carplay on the smaller screen is the exact same size as it is on the bigger screen, without the split screen option.

 

I didn't understand...So there aren't solutions for have Carplay in a F60 12/2017 with 6,5 touch screen and navi?
The head unit is different from cars produced after March 2018 with 6.5 display and Carplay?

 

I didn't realize Carplay was available on the smaller screen, so I assumed it was just full screen Carplay on the larger screen, but now I notice the bezels. I also didn't think that the 6.5" screen was offered on the F60 in 2018, which apparently is the year of the car in the picture posted by stingray.

 

I just purchased a 2019 Countryman S premium package, so it has the small touch screen, but no navigation. Does that mean I can't activate carplay? That was the one thing this didn't have that I wanted, but it was a good $7-10k jump to models that did. I had conceded that it wasn't an option but had a glimmer of hope on this, and similar threads.

you can activate carplay in your car, I have the same equipment as you and I bought the fsc and I have inserted it with esys and it works, I have a friend with the same device without a browser and it can also.

 

Good news! Where is a good place to buy the coding? I contacted two Ebay sellers with my VIN and haven't heard from either one. If they're in China, I guess they could still be on vacation.

Got my answer from Bimmer-Unlock...NO it does NOT support 6.5” screen.

however, Bimmer-Tech unit does, its 650.00 for me...worth it to get apple CarPlay and nav on the screen.

Much better sound quality through this unit. Much better than MINI Bluetooth. Yes, on the pricey side, but it was my only good solution and I couldn’t be happier.

Got the software from BimmerTech, did the USB load, and that simple I have CarPlay!!

Not cheap, but the simplicity and support is worth it.

one interesting thing, the CarPlay icon on the top page does not appear unless you phone is paired and added as a CarPlay device. Confused me at first.

Has anyone found a way to get CarPlay full screen on the 8inch screen? I have the official version in my 2020 F60. Its such a shame its forced to have split screen, especially when using maps in carplay. I have yet to find any coding options unfortunately.
