Talking JCW Pro Exhaust kit - any other 2020 JCWs have it?

Clyde is scheduled to get his Pro Exhaust on the 22nd. Any gotchas i need to be aware of? I do know that it will be just the exhaust and there isn't any tune. so excited!! need more noise since i disabled ASD.. hoping to get more pops too!!

well.. followup.. sadly i may not be.. dealership is saying part is not compatible and update to it coming in spring. REMUS is also working on an updated on too and will have one in Spring 2020. if i can't get it, i may just wait for the REMUS since it seems to have way more options, same perf and good sounding.

When I was in getting the computer update, (Actually I just stopped by and they said a computer update just came out and said I could be first to get it, so I had them do it) They said they just delivered another 2020 CTM JCW All4 except the guy wanted the brand new exhaust system they just come out with according to them. They installed it and said it was straight pipes. I asked how much and he said it was $2800.00 for the exhaust, and another $ 500.00 if you want carbon fiber tips. Didn't ask how much to install it. But, it sounds like the one that was already out to me and apparently it went on. He said it sounded great. (Service Manager)

I'm looking at the NM Engineering exhaust at $1100.00, which is much more reasonable. Just need to find out if it will fit the 2020. I think it will, but need to call and check. It saves a bunch of weight and looks way better than that huge can I hate hanging down in the rear.

yea, thats what i kind of gathered too about it working but i'm actually ok with them saying it wouldn't fit since I've now reached out to REMUS and am hoping to get their first valve exhaust for the 2020 JCW Countryman once its ready in the next few months. The sales rep i emailed with said if i was willing to be the first, they would give me a promo deal in exchange for feedback on the installation, setup and some vids/pics/etc i'm def ok with that!! really like idea of 4 diff settings will be following you and your NM exhaust upgrade since i'm a big fan of more noise and various brands

I have no idea what all it updated. I just know it took a half hour and I was in a hurry because I was getting ready to go out of town for Christmas. I didn't notice anything different, but at that time I had 250 miles on it and hadn't messed with much. It has almost 1300 miles now, but I haven't drove it again since getting home about 11 days ago. I got my new plates now to put on. They are Carbon Fiber pattern and say 20JCW20.
I wonder if Remus is going to change their system. I don't like the 90 degree exhaust angle it seems to have going from in to out of the muffler. But, I can't see the internals of the muffler and it may transition. I like the smooth transition of the NM Engineering one and the elimination of the valving for lower weight. But, the Remus looks like it has a separate controller and can be opened in Mid driving. I had a 90 degree exhaust setup on my Abarth and when I switched to a Neu F exhaust with a smooth transition there was a seat of the pants difference in acceleration. I looked at Remus when I was planning to get an M2 Competition, but decided I would get the Eisenmann exhaust instead. However; I changed my mind and got the JCW CTM instead. I probably won't get an exhaust right away and will follow how the Remus works out for you.
I wish there was a Dinan tune for these JCW's, but someone has to leave theirs with them in Alabama for like two weeks for them to make it. It would be a sweet deal in the end because they give that first one for free from what I seen on their site, but I'm not going to Alabama, so unless there is someone there it may be years. Who knows.

I just updated the thread with the JCW tuning kits install docs for the F60s and what they do to install it. Should have all the info you need.

This information is for F60 pre2020. We need exhaust systems for 2020 models and Seamonkey has Remus working on a system. I do not want valves in the exhaust and am looking at the NM Engineering exhaust, but your website is not updated for 2020 models. I called NM Engineering directly and Jerry was going to see if he could go to a local Mini Dealer and see if they have a 2020 JCW CTM All4 to see if the connection is going to be the same or what would need done to make it work, but I have not heard back from him. Most likely due to no vehicle available for measurements.

Yep, we have to confirm on the 2020 MINI likes to changes things and since the LCI info is not up we have to confirm. Thats the info i have for pre so we have a data base to confirm. If you can look under the car and match up things that might be the best for the physical stuff. I know that the LCI cars on the F56 some cars were not being able to have the flash as MINI system did not have a flash update to pair that module. If i find any info on that I will post up.

Jerry is a great guys and I work with him all the time on the MINI stuff.

I am willing to help with everyone's help here to confirm

I have not heard back from Jerry yet. Was going to call him back this next week and see if he has any news.
He had told me he had done a 2019 BMW X2M35i and that should be the same as these 2020 JCW Countryman All4's the OP and I have.

They installed a JCW Exhaust on an X2 and said it bolted right up.

I'm a little unsure if it's an actual M35i model though since they have the year listed as a 2018. Not sure why you'd install the JCW brakes over the M Performance ones that come with the M35i either.

I just bought a 2020 JCW Hardtop and am interested in adding the JCW Pro Exhaust or perhaps the Remus, however it seems neither is compatible with the 2020. Any updates on either?
