F60 Green Mode miles added

Green Mode miles added
When one goes into green mode, you get this little pedal “meter” and a number that increases supposedly showing how many additional miles one has added. Am i understanding that meter correctly? As below: What kind of numbers are people seeing here? 46.8??? That seems unobtainable!

I bought my F60 10 hours from home. On the drive home, I got I think in the high 30s extended range while averaging about 75 mph on I-80. If my car was at sea level, mild temps, at 55 on a highway for 300+ miles, I could see getting mid to upper 40s extended range.
At home with a mix of highway and city driving it's often half that.

It's an S, and at the time had over 130k miles. After 472 miles, I had 34.0 mpg reported averaging 74.4 mph, without trying too hard to save gas. The EPA highway rating is 31, so 34 over a whole tank is +48, although I don't think my number was that high, I'm pretty sure my car over-reports mpg by about 1 mpg. I could see getting 1-2 more mpg had I been in 55 zones instead of 75. Across a whole tank it makes sense that'd equate to the 40s on that gauge. Definitely an ideal scenario, though! I kinda interpret their pic there as close to the max.

In summary I get above EPA city estimate of 23 hitting 26 and just at EPA highway estimates of 31 hitting 32 often based on the car computer. BUT! With Fuelly app, I don't have a city only reading. I do get 29.3 mpg most of the time in maybe 30% city 70% highway miles. I have had a couple 32mpg and a 34mpg mostly highway.
Wonder if some of the above figures are UK miles, which are shorter than US miles, so higher MPGUK. I have a 2024 Countryman S All4 automatic. I drive it VERY gently, at the top of the accelerator pedal in green mode most of the time. When first bought it I did a 120 mile drive hyper mileing and got 34mpg US gallons per the computer. I switched tires to non-runflats (Micheline Cross Climates for 2k miles, and Conti DWS for 4k miles). Since June of 2024 I logged gas usage for 3K miles of 30%/70% city/highway using the Fuelly app. Overall, I get 29.3mpg by Fuelly, and 31.3 by the car's computer driving VERY gently. There is a bigger difference between Fuelly and the MINI when the MINI displays 32+mpg, some times 4.7 and 4.8 mpg difference. Otherwise the average difference is 1.6mpg, but mean 2.3.

Dang, you do drive gently! That's impressive for 30% city driving. What does your range extension say by the end of a tank?
Great point on UK miles! That's the most feasible explanation yet.
I'm still not quite sure how that gauge works. I wonder if its a combo of mpg and average speed used to guess city vs highway? A recent tank I had +23 or so, but my average speed was lower due to city driving, maybe around 35.

I have never looked at the Range Extender. I'll try to do that. I do know being in green mode, is disconnects the engine from the drive line when coasting. I coast a little bit, and watch the MPG go up. The major highway here has hills, so MOG soars gogn down hill. My city is mostly 45mph stretches with synchronized lights so helps a lot.
