Error 801228 only - A/C recharge?

My 2017 S ALL4 is giving me a 801228 error, which is "Blower output stage: Reduction of blower output due to power management", power management referring to "an inadequately charged 12 V electrical system."

I just bought the car and the service records on the Carfax and invoices I was shown by the PO said the battery was replaced a year or two ago. Bimmerlink says it's an 80Ah AGM with 90% charge. With the engine idling I get just under 14V and it fluctuates a little with a small draw, which suggests to me it is recharging and then drawing a bit and recharging again.

My A/C works, it feels cold and is reasonably powerful. The rear vents feel cold as well. It may not be super cold, but its fine.

If the car auto-stops, the air drops in power, which I understand is by design to conserve energy.

The car seems to run well in general. This and a driver side subwoofer error are my only errors.

The only symptom I could see as an issue is that if I set the climate control to, say, 68F, the cabin does not feel that cold. But I figured that was just because I had the mid level power set, so I keep the temp lower to compensate and am comfortable. Should the A/C just be recharged?

I just want to make sure if there's something I can get ahead of I should before a hypothetical worse problem occurs.

I think I figured it out. I had used Bimmercode to enable saving the A/C setting after the car turns off. By restoring that code back to stock, i.e. saving is disabled, the error went away.

I wonder if maybe by trying to save the setting, it gets out of sync between two internal systems?
