Oooh! I lived in England (just outside Lincoln) for a couple of years. Snake Pass was one my favorite roads over there!! And I loved popping in to the Snake Pass Inn for a pint and lunch! Some of my favorite memories over there are tearing up and down the road with passengers holding on for dear life! And I was doing this in a K-reg Nissan Micra!

Anyway, the dragon isn't quite as scenic as the pass, but I think that the dragon is definitely a bit more fun of a drive.

Little more than 4 months, we're on the down side and counting.

 

Mwahahaha...I close on the house tomorrow and then the new Dawgbone will be mine...then the Dragon!!!!

 

You know we drove through Knoxville just yesterday, and the roads were really good. It's not until you get west of downtown Nashville that the roads really turn to crap! Actually now that it's warmed up down there things have gotten a LOT better. We got to Memphis just an hour before the ice storm started!

I wanted to swing down to the Dragon on the way home, until I realized it would be an hour out of the way, and I was exhausted already!

 

Perhaps a little detour on the return trip is in order? Have fun with the family, sweetie!

I'm actually still running my Yokos, lol. I hate the all season runflats, so I put my summers back away. Paul Simon sings a song that describes it... "Slip Slidin' Away"... Heehee.

I'm supposed to be getting my 1991 Mini (Sprog III) back late next week, it's becoming my winter car. Retiring Sprog II to summer use only. Sprog III is already a rust pit, a little more won't hurt it.

 

So you taking Jess back to the Dragon in Sprog III for a little Dragon-sledding? Be careful, sweetie!
