Permanently disable Auto Start Stop

So far, this is literally the only thing I don't like about my new car. I am really hoping we can eventually get this.

I'm worried we may not get Bimmercode, which would be the normal route to doing this. Maybe someone else can come up with a hack for the new OS if we don't get Bimmercode.

I'm with you there, though I normally go into Go-Kart mode as a first action after startup (which disables it). I think the only hope is a future update where the "personal" experience mode would allow you to change what the default auto start/stop is is. Or allowing Go-Kart mode to be the startup default.

I keep toying with Go-Kart mode, but I feel like it holds gears too long and people look at me like I'm trying to instigate racing them lol. I'm wondering how it also affects gas mileage.

Dont worry, the sound you hear is actually coming through your speakers.

Can this be disabled? I'll need to look into it.

the pumped in exhaust audio can be disabled by going into the driving settings in your vehicle apps, then go into the chassis and drivetrain options. The toggle right at the top should be for "MINI sounds". Turning that off will disable the fake exhaust audio.

There won't be a way to disable the auto stop/start as it would be against current EPA rules for automakers to be able to permanently disable it. Until bimmercode offers support for it, you'll just have to hit the physical button for the drive settings and click on the auto stop/start button.

Thanks! I found that setting once a while back but couldn't find it again after many menu dives.

Interesting about the epa rules. Guess that explains why it's so hard to disable permanently.
